GOD'S CALL.

TEXT I COR. VI. 19, 20.

'Ye are not your own, for ye are bought with a
price.'

'YE are not your own."

Whose then are we? We know that Adam, by his sin, gave himself and us his children, into the power of Satan. Are we still in bondage to him? No, thank God, we are bought with a price, the price of the most precious blood of Jesus Christ.

As the Catechism tells us, we were by nature the children of wrath, but are now

made the children of God. If then we belong to Him, if we have been made His children, His servants, are we doing His bidding? Are we trying to please and serve Him?

This is a question we must each ask ourselves. If we are not serving God we may be sure that we are still serving the Devil, out of whose power Christ died to

save us.

Whom are you serving?

It is to help you to answer this question, to help you to think how you can serve God, that this little book has been written. It is not enough to say that you love and serve God, if you do not try and prove it every day of your life.

He has given you work to do for Him. Are you doing it? He has given you a place to fill that no one else can fill instead. Are you trying to do your duty in it? Will you not strive to see how best you can do what He has set you? Be it ever so little, there is something to be done for Him.

If you do gladly the little He has set you to do now, and prove yourself His faithful servant, at last He will say to you the same words that He will say to those who have done His greatest works, 'Well done, good and faithful servant, enter thou into the joy of thy Lord.'

PRAYER.

O blessed Lord and Master, wash me, I beseech Thee, in Thy precious blood, clothe me in Thy righteousness, feed me with the bread of life, and send me forth as Thy servant, strong and willing, to do Thy work this day. Without Thy help I can do no good thing; with Thy help I can do all things.

Make me, I beseech Thee, and keep me ever Thine, both in this world and the world to come. For Thy dear Name's

sake. Amen.

TEXT I COR. X. 31.

'Whether therefore ye eat or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.'

STOP and think a moment over this text, It has a special meaning for

you.

As you look at it again, perhaps you ask yourself, 'Can such a little thing as eating or drinking matter much either way ? Surely God cannot notice such common things as these.'

You see the text answers you. 'Do all to the glory of God.'

Now, for a girl like you, to whom God may not have given any great work to do for Him, this verse has, I say, a special teaching. It is this: nothing is too small, no work is too common, for you to do for
