3. Ever since the world began hath thy seat been prepared: thou art from everlasting.

4. The floods are risen, O Lord, the floods have lift up their voice: the floods lift up their

waves.

5. The waves of the sea are mighty, and rage horribly; but yet the Lord, who dwelleth on high, is mightier.

6. Thy testimonies, O Lord, are very sure: holiness becometh thine house for ever.

1. O praise God in his holiness: praise him in the firmament of his power.

2. Praise him in his noble acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness.

3. Praise him in the sound of the trumpet: praise him upon the lute and harp.

4. Praise him in the cymbals and dances: praise him upon the strings and pipe.

5. Praise him upon the well-tuned cymbals: praise him upon the loud cymbals.

6. Let everything that hath breath: praise the Lord.

LESSONS.

Epistle, 20th Sunday after Trinity.

Eph. v. 15.

See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is. And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; speaking to yourselves in psalms, and hymns, and spiritual songs; singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father, in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ; submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.

Or, 1 St. Peter v. 5, Epis. 3rd Sun. after Trinity. Col. i. 3, Epis. 24th Sunday after Trinity.

PRAYERS.

General Thanksgiving.

Almighty God, Father of all mercies, we thine unworthy servants do give thee most humble and

hearty thanks for all thy goodness and lovingkindness to us, and to all men. We bless thee for our creation, preservation, and all the blessings of this life; but above all, for thine inestimable love in the redemption of the world by our Lord Jesus Christ; for the means of grace, and for the hope of glory. And, we beseech thee, give us that due sense of all thy mercies, that our hearts may be unfeignedly thankful, and that we shew forth thy praise, not only with our lips, but in our lives; by giving up ourselves to thy service, and by walking before thee in holiness and righteousness all our days; through Jesus Christ our Lord, to whom with thee and the Holy Ghost, be all honour and glory, world without end. Amen.

(One or more of these Collects.)

5th Sunday in Lent.

We beseech thee, Almighty God, mercifully to look upon thy people; that by thy great goodness they may be governed and preserved evermore, both in body and soul; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

2nd Sunday after Trinity.

O Lord, who never failest to help and govern

them whom thou dost bring up in thy stedfast fear and love; Keep us, we beseech thee, under the protection of thy good providence, and make us to have a perpetual fear and love of thy holy Name; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

8th Sunday after Trinity.

O God, whose never-failing providence ordereth all things both in heaven and earth; We humbly beseech thee to put away from us all hurtful things, and to give us those things which be profitable for us; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

4th Collect at the end of the Communion Service.

Prevent us, O Lord, in all our doings with thy most gracious favour, and further us with thy continual help; that in all our works begun, continued, and ended in thee, we may glorify thy holy Name, and finally by thy mercy obtain everlasting life; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

6th Collect at the end of the Communion Service. Almighty God, who hast promised to hear the petitions of them that ask in thy Son's Name ›

We beseech thee mercifully to incline thine ears to us that have made now our prayers and supplications unto thee; and grant, that those things, which we have faithfully asked according to thy will, may effectually be obtained, to the relief of our necessity, and to the setting forth of thy glory; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

2 Cor. xiii.

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Ghost, be with us all evermore. Amen.

MORNING SERVICES.

General Confession.

Almighty and most merciful Father; We have erred, and strayed from thy ways like lost sheep. We have followed too much the devices and desires of our own hearts. We have offended
