AN ACT to change, establish and define the northern boundary line of the town of Lake Pleasant and the southern boundary line of the town of Long Lake, in the county of Hamilton, and to legalize certain acts of the assessors of the town of Lake Pleasant.

Whereas, Chapter two hundred of the laws of eighteen hundred and sixty, entitled "An act changing the boundaries of certain towns in the county of Hamilton, and for other purposes," fixed the boundary line between the towns of Long Lake and Lake Pleasant at the south line of township number six of Totten and Crossfield's purchase, and

Whereas, An act passed by the board of supervisors of the county of Hamilton, on November fifteenth, eighteen hundred and sixtyone, entitled "An act to change the boundary lines between the towns of Arietta, Long Lake and Morehouse, in the county of Hamilton" (being chapter four hundred and ninety-one of the laws of eighteen hundred and sixty-two), so changed the southern

boundary line of said town of Long Lake as to leave certain lots and parts of lots in said township six still in said town of Long Lake although separated from the remainder of said town of Long Lake by a distance of nearly two miles, and

Whereas, Since said act of November fifteenth, eighteen hundred and sixty-one, the town of Lake Pleasant has assumed and has exercised jurisdiction over said lots and parts of lots and said town of Long Lake has made no claim thereto, and

Whereas, Pursuant to the provisions of chapter six hundred and eighty-six of the laws of eighteen hundred and ninety-two, (known as the "County Law"), notice has been given of an intention to apply to the board of supervisors of said county to establish and define the boundary line of said towns, which said notice has been duly published and served and due proof thereof has been furnished to this board, and

Whereas, Application has also been made to this board, subscribed by at least twelve freeholders of the town of Long Lake and also subscribed by at least twelve freeholders of the town of Lake Pleasant, to change the boundary line of said towns as they now exist, and reference being made to the map of the Adirondack forest, compiled by authority of the fisheries, game and forest commission, and on file in the state department at Albany, for a description of lands showing the proposed alteration; and said application and notice having been duly posted and published and due proof thereof having been furnished this board as provided by said "County Law."

Therefore, The Board of Supervisors of the county of Hamilton, do enact as follows:

Section 1. The northern boundary of the town of Lake Pleasant is hereby changed, established and defined as follows: Commencing on the northeasterly line of township number six, of Totten and Crossfield's purchase, at the point where the old or former line (prior to eighteen hundred and sixty), between the towns of Arietta and Lake Pleasant intersects said northeasterly line, and running from said point of intersection a southeasterly course on said northeasterly line of township number six and townships number seven and eight of said purchase, to the northwesterly corner of the town of Wells- said line being also the southwesterly line of townships number thirty-two, thirty-three and thirty-four of said purchase, thereby taking from the town of Long Lake as now appears all that part of township number six of Totten and Crossfield's purchase lying east of the easterly line of the town of Arietta, and annexing the same to the town of Lake Pleasant.

§ 2. The southern boundary of the town of Long Lake shall be (as now appears on said map of the Adirondack forest) as follows: Commencing on the east line of the county of Hamilton, Vol. I 110
