A HEART TALK.

By M. L. H.

Он, Lord, I am thine, save me.

Thou hast re

deemed me. Thy mercy has followed me. Thou hast not at all forsaken or forgotten me. All my days are filled with Thy goodness. There is no want to them that trust in Thee. They are filled because Thou art full, and they are united to Thee. I will praise Thee. Help me to praise Thee. Teach me, turn Thy face to me. Search me and try me. Refine the silver, weigh me in the balances. Be not afar off from Thy servant, oh, Lord, my Saviour, and my God.

Jesus, I love Thee, Thou art all love. Thou knowest if I love Thee supremely. If I love all else in Thee. Show me my own heart. Yea, Lord, earth's precious ones are Thine. I renounce them. They are Thine by my willing gift. Thou art Jesus, the first and the last. Thou art mine. Thou knowest

if all my heart is Thine own. How shall I keep from Thee anything? Hast Thou not given me

Thyself, Thy Life, Thy death, Thy pains, Thy groans, Thy blood? Yea! Thou Prince of Saviours, Thou hast offered Thy sacrifice for me. I praise Thee, I love Thee first, Thou art my life, my light, my King, my joy, my crown. Thou art a jealous God; how shall I love Thee enough? Oh, Lord, let me abide in Thee! Here is rest, as of the weary babe in its mother's bosom. I lay me down in Thy arms. Love is my conqueror, I am His willing slave.

Master, I love and trust Thee. Increase my faith. May I not walk by faith? How faithful and worthy to be trusted is my God. How hateful is unbelief, how shameful. Oh, my soul hope in the Lord! Satan has designed to overthrow me. Do I live in unshaken confidence always? Thou knowest. He that doubteth is as a wave of the sea. I dare not doubt. My faith is small, but I dare not—I will not doubt Thee, my Lord and My God. Thou art in the darkness. Thou hast not forsaken me. Thou art nigh at hand. I shall praise Thee, for I do trust Thee. Father, Thou knowest all things. In sorrow I have leaned only on Thee. In loneliness Thou dost satisfy me. In afflictions I can trust Thee still. Yea, though Thou slay me, I am Thine altogether, to slay or to keep alive.

My faith looks up to thee; Thy sacrifice is my pardon, Thy blood my cleansing, Thy righteousness my Holiness. Keep me! Deliver me! Thou canst, Thou wilt, Thou dost. How strong Thou art, how good, how great. Hallelujah! Thou art my Salvation; my soul exulteth in God my Saviour; my faith takes hold on Thee. Thou art mine. Thou

wilt guide me; thou wilt go before me. follow Thee all the way.

"Faith knows nought of dark to-morrow,

For my Saviour goes before."

I will

My enemy is in Thy hands; Thou wilt smite him; Thou wilt answer his lying, doubting words. As for me, I trust in Thee, till I shall see Thee face to face.

Saviour may I serve Thee. I am not worthy to be called by Thy name. How can I fitly serve Thee? But Thou hast bid me. I praise Thee. I am Thy servant. What is Thy will? A living sacrifice. Oh, my Father, let Thy spirit search my life. What are my words, my deeds, my thoughts, my desires? Whence tend they? Thou dost ask a living sacrifice. Jesus, thou didst love the world. Thou didst die for it. Teach me so to love it, so to follow Thee. I am Thine. Make me a living sacrifice for Thy glory. Make me, mould me, break me. Thine is the altar, mine the offering. Accept Thy servant, a willing bond slave of love. Seal me Thine. Let me live to follow Thee. Thou art a seeker for the lost, a sufferer, a Saviour for the lost. Let me follow Thee. All I have shall serve thee. Write Thy name upon my heart, upon my forehead. Let me bear the Cross, and share the shame, and come after Thee. Let me be a good Soldier of Jesus Christ. All my life is given Thee. Every ransomed hour Thou hast. Blessed by Thy

name.

I am my Lord's,

The Cross shall

I am no longer my own.
Glory to Jesus.
All I have and all I hope belongs

and He is mine. wear the crown.

alone to the King of Glory. the Lord. Shiloh is come.

Hallelujah!
Hallelujah! Bless

And Thou wilt accept Thy servant's offering. The love, and trust, and service of the humble is precious to Thee. Thy portion is Thy people. Thou dwellest with the contrite ones. Remember Thy child. Let Thy face be toward Thy servant for good. For Jesus Thy Son's sake. Amen.
