JOINT-STOCK ASSOCIATION LAW

NOTES TO TEXT

1. 8. Omitted and recommended for repeal because its provisions are contained in and covered by Code Civil Procedure, $ 828.

NOTES TO SCHEDULE OF REPEALS

When a statute has been specifically repealed, that statute and the repealing statute are given without an explanatory note.

6. L. 1894, Ch. 235. This statute, which is the "old" Joint-Stock Association Law, is recommended for repeal because its live provisions have been incorporated in Joint-Stock Association Law.

7. Code Civil Procedure, §§ 3390-3397, pt. relating to joint-stock associations. These sections of the code provided a proceeding for the disposition of real property held by corporations and joint-stock associations. So far as these sections apply to corporations they have been consolidated in General Corporation Law §§ 70-76. The material contained in those sections has been applied to the joint-stock associations by section 8 of JointStock Association Law.
