CHAPTER NO. 1. SENATE BILL No. 77. (By Messrs. Haston and Todd.) AN ACT to enlarge, increase, and supplement the duties and powers of the Railroad Commission of the State of Tennessee; to constitute said commission a State Board of Equalization; to provide the means and agencies for the ascertainment and equalization of the value of all forms of property; so that taxes thereon shall be equal and uniform throughout the State; to direct County Courts and municipalities as to the time of fixing tax rates; and to repeal all laws in conflict with this Act. SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Tennessee, That the Railroad Commission of the State of Tennessee shall be clothed with all the powers and be charged with all the duties. of the State Board of Equalization under existing law, together with the powers conferred by this Act, which said Board is now composed of the Secretary of State, Comptroller, and Treasurer.
