Financial Statement.-Capital stock-common, (on whole line,) $25,000 per mile, $6,850,400 ; and preferred 7 per cent, (on 1st and 2d divisions, Cedar Rapids to Des Moines River and the Lyons Branch, 128.37 miles,) $6,000 per mile, $769,600– total stock, $7,620,000 ; and funded debt, $3,614,000—total stock and bonds, (representing cost of road, etc.,) $11,234,000, or about $41,000 per mile.

Rolling Stock.-Locomotive engines, 6. Carspassenger, 4; baggage, mail and express, 2; and freight, box, 20 ; and platform, 25—total revenue cars, 51. Also road and service car, 1.

Operations.- No returns furnished.

Financial Statement, March 1, 1872.-Capitai stock, $7,500,000 ; and funded debt, 1st mortgage 8 per cent bonds, dated July 1, 1870, and payable, interest semiannually January and July, and principal July 1, 1900, $4,208,000, being $10,000 per mile--total stock and bonds available, $11,708,000. Of the bonds $2,000,000 have been issued. The company's bonds on the Georgia line are guaranteed to the extent of $12,000 per mile by the State of Georgia.

In connection with the Fort Wayne, Jackson and Saginaw and the Detroit, Hillsdale and Indiana Railroads, this line will form a most direct route between Detroit and Logansport ; and, connecting at Butler with the Lake Shore and Michigan Southern Railroad, an almost east and west line between Toledo and Logansport. At present, it forms a part of what is called the Detroit, Logansport and Indianapolis Line.

Rolling Stock.-Locomotive engines, 9. Cars-passenger, 4 ; baggage, mail and express, 4; and freight, box, 100; platform, 45 ; stock, 15—total, 108 ; and 17 service cars.

Financial Statement, December 31, 1871.—(Later information refused.) Capital stock authorized, $1,000,000 ; and 1st mortgage 8 per cent bonds, $22,000 per mile of completed road. The bonds of this company are dated July 1, 1871, and have 20 years to run. Interest January and July. Amount issued, $1,180,000.
