Violet.-Jeanne d'Albret was the fourth queen of Navarre of her name. The first was the daughter of Henry I.; came to the throne in 1274; and in 1284 married Philippe IV, (le Bel,) King of France. Jeannot II. was her granddaughter, the child of Louis X., and inherited Navarre when, in 1328, the crown of France passed to Philippe VI. She died in 1348. The Queen Jeanne contemporary with Henry VI. was Jeanne, daughter of Charles II., King of Navarre, and widow of our own Henry IV. She was only called Queen Jeanne of Navarre, as Henry VIII's wife was called Queen Katharine of Aragon. Could not Violet have found this out in Miss Strickland for herself? We are most willing to answer reasonable questions, but it is hardly fair to take in the up space magazines with answers that any person with a tolerable amount of pains could find out for herself.

M. R. wants to know the author of 'The Old Old Story.'

A. E. L. B.-We would suggest The Office of the Most Holy Name, if a small book is needed; The Churchman's Guide to Faith and Piety, if a larger one is wished for. Or else Private Devotions, edited by the Rev. T. Carter.
