Editions, to excuse the Freedom I have taken, in making some considerable Additions to this. It has been done at the Persuasion of Several

judicious Friends, wbo apprebended, the Pièce might be more useful, and less uxworthy of the public Patronage, if it touched upon some very interesting Subječts, hitherto omitted. As I had no Views, but to render the Performance more pleasing and serviceable; None, I bope, will be offended at my Practice, or complain of it as injurious. Nevertheless, as I would willingly avoid, whatever might seem to stand in Need of an Apology; I desire Leave to declare, That no future Enlargements, or Alterations, shall be suffered to depretiate what, with the deepest Gratitude for their past Encouragement, I now commit to the Candour of the Public.
