Operations for the year ending March 31, 1869.—Gross earnings (passenger, $15,821 50; and freight, $29,302 02), $45,123 52; and expenses (ordinary), $39,863 85; nett earnings, $5,259 67. The Georgia Company also expended $7,418 62 on the road, etc., which leaves a deficit of $2,158 95, chargeable to the Macon and Augusta Company.

General Balances (October 4, 1869).—Capitał paid up, $1,078,878 69; funded debt (1st mortgage 7 per cent. bonds), $400,000; bills payable, $11,024 87; sundry dues, $4,374 67; forfeited stock, $5,610; U. S. tax on coupons, $5 25; and loss on iron rails seized by Confederate States, $154,783 09.
