KENT COUNTY (Del.) RAILROAD.

At Massey's Cross Roads connection is made with the Kent and Queen Anne Railroad, and through that road with the Delaware Railroad at Townsend, 29 miles south of Wilmington. The road was opened to Kennedyville in April, 1870, and is now in rapid progress to Chestertown.

The Company have issued 6 per cent. 20 year bonds to the extent of $600,000, and the County of Kent 6 per cent. aid bonds, dated June, 1868, and payable 186979, $100,000. Construction commenced in July, 1868, and the road as far as Chestertown will probably be in operation July, 1870.

Line of Road.-Pleasant Hill, Mo., to Lawrence, Kansas.... This road was undertaken as a cut-off to make the line to the West, via the Pacific RR. of Missouri and the Kansas Pacific, a more direct one. When completed it will effect a saving of 14 miles over the line via Kansas City. The Company intend to issue 1st mortgage bonds, 6 per cent., principal and interest payable in gold, $1,020,000. The road is to be leased to the Pacific Co. of Missouri for an amount sufficient to secure the interest on these bonds.
