AN ACT MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR PAY FOR SOLDIERS Chap. 1

AND SAILORS FROM THIS COMMONWEALTH IN THE VOLUN

TEER SERVICE OF THE UNITED STATES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in

General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same,
as follows:

SECTION 1. The sum of two hundred and fifty thousand Appropriation, dollars is hereby appropriated to be paid out of the treasury sailors pay in

' and of the commonwealth from the ordinary revenue for the present war. pay of soldiers and sailors as provided in section one of chapter two hundred and eleven of the General Acts of nineteen hundred and seventeen, the same to be in addition to any amount heretofore appropriated or raised for this purpose. SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.

AN ACT AUTHORIZING THE TOWN OF WELLESLEY TO PAY

Chap. 2 THE COST OF INSURING THE LIVES OF ITS RESIDENTS IN

WAR SERVICE.
Be it enacted, etc., as follows:
SECTION 1. The town of Wellesley is hereby authorized Town of
