HEREAS, by the Act of the General Assembly of these Islands of the 24th year of her Majesty's reign, a salary of twenty-five pounds was granted to the letter-carrier and general assistant authorized to be appointed under that Act, and such salary is deemed inadequate to secure the services of an efficient letter-carrier and general assistant, and it is deemed expedient to augment the same; May it, therefore, &c.:

I. That from and after the passing of this Act there shall be allowed and paid to such letter-carrier and general assistant, in lieu of the aforesaid salary, an annual salary at and after the rate of £50 per annum.

II. That in addition to the allowance to the post master of Nassau, for sorting of letters under the above-recited Act, a fursorting letters. ther sum not exceeding £20 per annum shall be allowed to such post master for assistance required from time to time in preparing and despatching mails.

29 Vic. c. 7. An Act to amend the Act authorizing the Re-
printing of the Laws of the Colony. (Assented to 27th
March, 1866.)

HEREAS it is expedient that the Members of the Legislature should severally be furnished with copies of the Laws of the Colony, to be held by them subject to the provisions of the Act to which this Act is an amendment; May it, &c. :

I. On, from, and after the passing of this Act, the several members of the Legislative Council and House of Assembly, shall be entitled to be supplied with a copy of the laws of the Colony, as the same shall from time to time be printed, as also with a copy of the laws already printed, and which may be in force at the time of the passing of this Act.

II. At the termination of the present session of Assembly it shall be lawful for the Governor, and he is hereby requested to cause the Acts of Assembly passed since the year 1862 to be collected and reprinted in manner as provided for by the second section of the 24 Victoria, c. 27, so as the same may be formed into a second volume of the laws, the expense of which shall be defrayed out of the Public Treasury of the Colony, in the usual

manner.

25 Vict. c. 20. An Act for granting Superannuation Allow

ances to Persons having held Civil Offices in the Public Service of the Colony. (Assented to 29th April, 1862.)

HEREAS it is expedient to provide for the superannuation of Civil Officers in the Public Service of the Colony; May it, &c. :
