SERMON 1.—Isaiah v. 4. What could have been donc
more to my vineyard, that I have not done in it? Where-
fore when I looked, that it should bring forth grapes,
brought it forth wild grapes?
SERMON II.- Jeremiah xiv. 7.0 Lord, though our ini.
quities testify against us, do thou it for thy name's sake, 304
SERMON III.—Isaiah ix. 13. For the people turneth not
unto him that smiteth them; neither do they seek the Lord
SERMON I.-Psalm cvi. 43, 44. Many times did he deli-
ver them, but they provoked him with their counsel, and
were brought low for their iniquity. Nevertheless he re-
garded their affliction, when he heard their cry
SERMON II.--Ezekiel xx. 22. Nevertheless I withdrew
mine hand, and wrought for my name's sake, that it
should not be polluted in the sight of the heathen
SERMON III.-Psalm cxvi. 2. Because he hath inclined
his ear unto me, therefore will I call upon him as long as
SIGNS and DUTIES of the TIMES, &c.
The Doctrines of ELECTION and FINAL PERSE-
VERANCE stated from Scripture, and shewn consist-
ent with exhortatory and practical Preaching, and con-
ducive to Holiness of life.
SERMON-John vi. 37-40. All that the Father giveth
me shall come unto me: and him that cometh unto me, I
will in no wise cast out. For I came down from heaven,
not to de mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.
And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all
which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should
raise it up again at the last day. And this is the will of
him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son,
and believeth on him, may have everlasting life; and I
will raise him up at the last day.
