Biodiversity and Traditional Knowledge: Equitable Partnerships in Practice

This practical manual demonstrates how to arrive at a equitable and successful arrangements over access to, and the commercial development of, genetic resources. Despite much discussion at the international policy level relating to the use of genetic resources and tradtional knowledge, to date there has been no such guide on intergrating concepts into practice. Many different parites have stakes in the commercial use of biodiversity, from local communities and indigenous peoples to resources managers, NGOs, research institutes and univeristies, industry and national governments.
