My week at the University of Alabama was a most happy one. Dr. Roscoe Martin and his col leagues of the University and especially of the Bureau of Public Administration, the fellows in the program, and the members of the Alabama Chapter all gave me a most generous welcome and quickly made me feel a colleague in their activities; and I had great personal stimulus from seeing at first hand the outstanding work which is being done in public administration in the region, and the challenging problems which have been attacked.
