The commissioners (or trustees) undertake to pay to the said the sum of for the said school year as follows: in current money and not otherwise, and the secretary-treasurer or any other person shall have no right to alter this method of payment, which shall always be made in money to the said teacher. The said commissioners (or trustees) declare that they agree to the provisions of the law respecting the payment of the salary of said teacher , and respecting suits for the recovery thereof, if necessary, by the superintendent if he deems it advisable. A copy of the present engagement is forwarded to the superintendent.
