ACTS OF THE 119 PARLIAMENT OF THE DOMINION OF CANADA RELATING TO CRIMINAL LAW, ΤΟ PROCEDURE IN CRIMINAL CASES AND 10 EVIDENCE. Compiled from the Revised Statutes of Canada, which were issued under authority OTTAWA : PRINTED BY BROWN CHAMBERLIN, PRINTER TO THE QUEEN'S MOST EXCELLENT MAJESTY. 1891. C NOTE. In this volume are collected all the Acts of the Parliament of Canada having exclusive reference to criminal law, criminal procedure and evidence in criminal matters, as they appear in the Revised Statutes of Canada and in the subsequent Acts of the Parliament of Canada passed in the sessions of 1887, 1888, 1889 and 1890. Where a repeal has been effected, the chapter or section repealed is omitted, and a reference to the repealing or substituted enactment is given instead. Minor amendments are noted in or opposite the text amended. It must be noted that very many of the general laws of Canada, included in the Revised Statutes, contain penal clauses. Such clauses are not to be found in this volume, but recourse must be had to the Revised and annual Statutes where the Acts containing them appear at length. The marginal reference inclosed in brackets are to Acts of the Parliament of the United Kingdom corresponding to the text opposite to which they are respectively placed. They do not, however, extend beyond the Acts of 1887. The following table will show the years of the christian era corresponding to the years of the sovereign's reign in the Acts in such marginal references, and in the Canadian statutes given in the text at the end of each section : |
