This Lady crippled by infantile paralysis has not walked since five
years of age. At age of forty-two her income was nothing. She was then
furnished with motor-driven hemstitching machine, trained in sewing, and
now earns more than fifty dollars per month.

A congenital cripple, this splendid young man at the age of nineteen was earning nothing. Through the State Vocational Board an operation was secured, an artificial limb was provided, and he was given a business course. He is now earning one hundred fifteen dollars per month and has a good chance for promotion.

Crippled by rheumatism at eight years of age, this man at age twentytwo was earning about twenty-five dollars per month, doing odd jobs in gun repairing. After receiving training as a cobbler and gun repairer, he has acquired a partnership in a repair shop where his income has increased to seventy-five dollars per month.
