The SINAI reads The RECEIVED TEXT- The ALEXANDRIAN ["faileth that, when it hath failed, they may receive you The NEW REVISION adopts the S V (A) reading, but translates— Make to yourselves friends by means of the mammon of unrighteousness; that, when it shall fail, they may receive you into the eternal tabernacles. [1 Gr. out of The ready comparison of the various readings, at a glance, without stopping, is obvious. For example, while reading the Sinai, we notice that the V and A agree with the original Manuscript in not having the Rec. reading \'ye fail], and all three, S V A, have, instead, the third person it; but the form and tense of the verb fail differ, the original manuscript agreeing with m having hath failed, while a later scribe of has altered it to "faileth, which is the A reading.
