1 Song iii. 4. It was but a little that I paffed from them, but I found him whom my foul loveth: I held him, and would not let him go, until I had brought him into my mother's houfe, and into the chamber of her that conceived me. Verse 11. Go forth, O ye daughters of Zion, and behold king Solomon with the crown wherewith his mother crowned him in the day of his efpoufals, and in the day of the gladness of his heart.

Matth. i. 23. Behold a virgin fhall be with child, and fhall bring forth a fon, and they fhall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted, is, God with us. Luke i. 34, 35. Then faid Mary unto the angel, How fhall this be, feeing I know not a man? And the angel answered and faid unto her, The Holy Ghoft fhall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overfhadow thee: therefore alfo that holy thing which fhall be born of thee, fhall be called the Son of God.

tion that is in Jefus Chrift: whom God hath fet forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteoufnefs for the remillion of fins, &c. Chap. v. 9. Being juftified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. Verse 21. That as fin hath reigned unto death, even fo might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life, by Jefus Christ our Lord.

The mystery of the Saint's Life, State, and Frame.

My life's a pleasure 2, and a pain ; 3

Eph. ii. 5, 6. Even when we were dead in fins he hath quickened us to gether with Chrift, and hath raised us up together, and made us fit together in heavenly places in Chrift Jefus.

2 Prov. iii. 17. Her ways are ways of pleafantnefs, and all her paths are peace.

3 Pfalm cxx. 5. Wo is me, that I fojourn in Mefech, that I dwell in the tents of Kedar.

Bethel, and there he spake with us. Luke vii. 38. And (a woman that was a finner) stood at his feet behind him weeping, and began to wash his feet with tears, and did wipe them with the hairs of her head, and kissed his feet, and anointed them with the ointment. John xx. 15, 16. Jefus faith unto her, Woman, why weepest thou? Whom seekest thou? She fuppofing him to be' the gardener, faith unto him, Sir, if thou haft borne him hence, tell me. where thou haft laid him, and I will take him away. Jefus faith unto her, Mary. She turned herself, and faith unto him, Rabboni, which is to fay, Master. Ver. 20. Then were the difciples glad when they faw the Lord.

2 2 Cor. ii. 14. Thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ.

The Lord hath fent me to comfort all that mourn: to appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praife for the fpirit of heaviness, &c. Mat. v. 4. Bleffed are they that mourn; for they shall be comforted.

5 Lake xxii. 42. Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: never theless, not my will, but thine be done. Acts xxi. 14. And when he (viz. Paul) would not be perfuaded, we ceafed, faying. The will of the Lord be done.

Yea, in the way of thy judgments, O Lord, have we waited for thee; the defire of our foul is to thy name, and to the remembrance of thee. With my foul have I defired thee in the night, yea, with my Spirit within me will I feck thee early.

9 John vi. 55. For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. 10 Job xxix. 2, 3, 4. Oh that I were as in months paft, as in the days when God preferved me: when his candle fined upon my head, and when by his light I walked through darkness: as I was in the days of my youth, when the fecret of God was upon my tabernacle. Pfalm lxxvii. 10, 11, 12. I will remember the years of the right-hand of the Moft High. I will remember the works of the Lord: furely I will remember thy wonders of old.
