HEREFORE now let the fear of the Lord be upon

you; take heed and do it; for there is no iniquity

with the Lord our God, nor respect of persons, nor taking of gifts.

He is the Rock, his work is perfect, for all his ways are judgment; a God of Truth and without iniquity, just and right is he. They have corrupted themselves; their spot is not the spot of his children; they are a perverse and crooked generation. Do ye thus requite the Lord, O! foolish people and unwise? Is not he thy Father that hath bought thee? Hath he not made thee and established thee?

Is there unrighteouness with God? God forbid.

For thou art not a God that hath pleasure in wickedness neither shall evil dwell with thee.

Therefore hearken unto me, ye men of understanding: far be it from God, that he should do wickedness; and from the Almiyhty that he should commit iniquity.

Those that be planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of God. They shall bring forth fruit in old age: they shall be fat and flourishing; to show that the Lord is upright, he is my rock and there is no unrighteousness in him.

Doth God pervert judgment? or doth the Almighty pervert justice?

That be far from thee to do after this manner; to slay the righteous with the wicked: and that the righteous should be as the wicked, that be far from thee. Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?

Shall even he that hateth right govern? and wilt thou condemn him that is most just? Is it fit to say to a king, Thou art wicked ? and to princes, Ye are ungodly? How much less to him that accepteth not the persons of princes, nor regardeth the rich more than the poor? for they all are the work of his hands.

Who hath enjoined him his way? or who can say, Thou hast wrought iniquity ?

Yea, surely God will not do wickedly, neither will the Almighty pervert judgment.

This then is the message which we heard of him and declare unto you, that God is light and in him is no darkness at all.

Then Jesus spake again unto them saying, I am the light of the world; he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness but shall have the light of life.

In him was life: and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness and the darkness comprehended it not.

Look unto me and be ye saved all the ends of the earth: for I am God and there is none else.

Is thine eye evil because I am good ?

Eat thou not the bread of him that hath an evil eye, neither desire thou his dainty meats: For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he.

Trust in the Lord, with all thine heart, and lean not unto thine own understanding.

Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein. have we robbed thee ?

Then Paul stood in the midst of Mars Hill and said, Ye men of Athens I perceive that in all things ye are too superstitious. For as I passed by and beheld your devotions I found an altar with this inscription ; To the unknown God. Whom therefore ye ignorantly worship him declare I unto you. God that made the world and All things therein, seeing that he is Lord of Heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands: neither is worshiped with men's hands as though he needed anything, seeing he giveth to all life and breath and all things.

If thou, Lord, shouldst mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand ?

Thou art of purer eyes than to behold evil, and canst not look on iniquity.

There is no iniquity with the Lord. The Lord did no iniquity, made no iniquity, created none, and if he didn't create any, then in reality there is none; for there isn't any thing made that he did not make. There is but one Creator, one Power that creates; and that is the power of Good, power of God, power of Truth.

There is no more reality in evil, than there is knowledge in ignorance; or than there is something in nothing.

Nature hates a vacuum ; in all the universe there is no place that nature has not some force at work. Even in empty space, as we say, we find that nature has something more to fill it with, than for the planets and systems to describe circles and draw diagrams. Space is not an imaginary blackboard to be filled up from time to time with the sweep of something real and tangible, and then to lay dormant for a while. The laws of God are at work always and forever, just as the light of the Sun is shining out in every direction, always and everywhere at work. The vacuum, the seeming evil, is not a blackboard for the finger of Purity to make its mark upon occasionally. There is no reality in any such idea at all, for the Good is Supreme.

The Children of Wisdom are waking up to the Knowl. edge, the Truth; they are waking up to their full inheritance. They are waking up to the knowledge that there is no pleasure outside of the Good; no happiness outside of the Good; no health outside of the Good; no life outside of the Good. That there is no reality in anything outside of Good, Truth, Life, Peace, Strength. That there is really no pleasure in seeming evil.

The history of every one shows them, when their attention is called to it, that whenever they attempt to do anything contrary to the laws of the Good, they get into seeming trouble. If there was any reality in evil or pleasure in evil, why should there be such instructions to keep out of evil, stop doing that which was evil, and always do good, be good, think good, act good, live good ?

Jacob said, The Angel which redeemed me from all evil, bless the lad. And Jabez called on the Lord of Israel saying, Oh that thou wouldst bless me indeed and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldst keep me from evil that it may not grieve me. And God granted him that which he requested.

If evil were as real as Good, God could not prevent it from overtaking any one. God does not prevent his own laws from operating. He is no respector of persons, places, states or conditions.

If we believe in the reality of evil, then we do not believe that God is Supreme.

Good or evil, one or the other, is Supreme; which is it? They can't both be Supreme, for to be Supreme is to be over all.

Scarcely any one in this age believes in a dual principle at work.

That has been solved in so many ways and those that are wise know that the Principle is One, and Its laws, One, and Its name is One. Hear O Israel, the Lord our God is One and his name is one. The unit is the principle of mathematics; one don't study errors in mathematics, and when another makes them, we don't try to make anything out of them, we make nothing out of it, or make it nothing. The key note is the principle note around which the others swing in music. And Good is the principle around which the harmony of God swings. '

We say of a discord that is not music, it is a mistake, an effort perhaps, a sign that something or the true idea will soon prevail; but as the Good is All, just so every effort is but an endeavor to get at the Truth.

The Truth has always been the same, but seemingly it is leading us further and further along. There is no place we can stop and say, I have found absolute Truth, or, I have got to the end of Truth. The Master says, The Son of man hath not where to lay his head.

God being Infinite, or over all and above all, all we have to do is to live up to our ideas of perfection today, and a greater degree of perfection will be ready for us tomorrow. As we deny the reality of evil, we are simply passing up to a higher plane or a higher understanding; and the Truth of today may be the error of tomorrow or next week, seemingly. Just as a man passing along a road, seeing a tree or hill in the distance, should not make the mistake of fixing his attention upon the tree or hill and supposing that it is the thing he is after; if he does he may possibly deviate from his course and go round and round the hill, instead of leaving it behind and passing forward to more and more understanding.

And so the good of today may be for us the seeming evil of tomorrow; not for any one else, but for us if we do not
