MEMORIALS.

NUMBER I.

A MEMORIAL to Congress for a change in Mail Route No. 13,210, in the State of Wisconsin, from West Bend, in the county of Washington, to Fond du Lac, in the county of Fond du Lac, in the State of Wisconsin.

To the Honorable the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States in Congress assembled.

The Memorial of the Legislature of the State of Wisconsin, respectfully represents:

That there is no mail service to and from Waucousta, in the town of Osceola, in the county of Fond du Lac, in the state of Wisconsin; that the interests and convenience of a densely populated portion of the county of Fond du Lac, would be greatly enhanced by a change in mail route No. 13,210, from West Bend, in the county of Washington, to Fond du Lac, in the county of Fond du Lac, in the state of Wisconsin, so that the said mail route shall run from Auburn post office, in said county of Fond du Lac, directly to Waucousta, in said county, and then via Foster's post office to said city of Fond du Lac; that such change would leave no post office on said route unsupplied with service, and would be but a slight increase of the distance of said mail route No. 13,210.

Your memorialists would therefore respectfully ask that the said mail route be established as aforesaid, at the earliest practicable period.

Approved February 12, 1861.

NUMBER II.

A MEMORIAL to the Post Master General for a weekly mail route from Black River Falls, in Jackson county, to Chippewa Falls, in Chippewa county.

The Memorial of the Legislature of the State of Wisconsin, respectfully represents:

That the interests and convenience of a large population would be greatly enhanced by the establishment of a weekly mail route from the village of Black River Falls, in Jackson county, to Chippewa Falls, in Chippewa county, via Alma, Houghtenburg, Augusta and Lincoln.

Your memorialists would respectfully ask that the said mail route be established as aforesaid at the earliest practicable period.

Approved April 15, 1861.
