4. 6. AN ORDINANCE TO INCORPORATE A COMPANY TO BE CALLED [Ord. 7 anno "THE BRITISH GUIANA MUSEUM COMPANY, LIMITED."

WHEREAS the Directors of the Royal Agricultural and Com- Preamble?

mercial Society of this Colony, and the Directors of a Company which has been formed under the name of "The British Guiana "Museum Company," have petitioned the Governor and Court of Policy, praying them, for certain purposes, to pass an Ordinance for the Incorporation of a Company called "The British Guiana "Museum Company, Limited:" And whereas it is desirable that the prayer of the petition should be granted, and that the Company should be incorporated with limited liability: Be it therefore enacted by His Excellency the Governor of British Guiana, with the advice and consent of the Court of Policy thereof, as follows:

1. Edward George Barr, Frederick Augustus Rothwell Winter, Company Joseph Trounsell Gilbert, William Hunter Campbell, Henry Sars- incorporated. field Bascom, Allan Cameron McCalman, James Richard Holligan, Hubert Carlton Whitlock, M.D., George Lillie, Henry Gibbs Dalton, M.D., Alexander Garnett, George Henry Oliver, Adolphus. William Perot, William Branch Pollard, Jr., David Shier, M.D., and John Lucie Smith, and all other persons who have subscribed for, and have had allotted to them, and all the persons who shall hereafter become proprietors of, shares in the stock of the said Company, shall become and remain associated as a Joint Stock Company, for the purposes hereinafter set forth, and they are hereby incorporated by the name and the style of "The British Guiana Museum Company, Limited," and by that name shall be a body incorporated, and shall have succession, and may sue and be sued, implead and be impleaded, in all Courts whatsoever.
