The 55 Geo. 3. c. 107. I. by virtue of which an asylum or hospital for the reception and management of lunatic patients, called "The Richmond lunatic asylum" hath been erected in Dublin, may be here also referred to.

P. 288. 1. 2. The 54 Geo. 3. c. 112. I. recites the 47 Geo. 3. st. 1. c. 44. I. and that it is expedient to extend former act for the said act to all counties in Ireland, and to encrease the of fever hospi amount of the sum to be presented by grand juries for the tals, extended. encouragement of fever hospitals; and therefore enacts, 1 that whenever any fever hospital has been or shall be established in any county, county of a city, or county of a town, in Ireland, it shall be lawful for the grand jury of such county, &c. at any spring or summer assizes, to present such sum, not exceeding £250. at each such assizes, as shall appear to said jury, and to the judge at such assizes, to be necessary for the support of such fever hospital; and such sum shall be raised off the county at large, or county of a city or county of a town, and levied and applied accordingly. Provided (s. 2.) that before any such presentment shall be made, an account of the receipt and expenditure of such fever hospital, from the time of its establishment to the time of the first presentment required, and afterwards, from the time of each presentment, till the time when any further presentment is required, shall be laid before such grand jury; and if such grand jury are not satisfied with such account, it shall be lawful for them to refuse to make any such presentment.

Ir. and who shall have taken the oaths and declaration required by said act, shall not, in respect of any such office, &c. be liable in England, &c. or in his majesty's navy, or in Jersey or Guernsey to any of the pains, &c. enacted by the 25 Car. 2. c. 2. Eng. and shall also be exempt from all pains, &c. in the said, several places last mentioned, for not making, taking, and subscribing the oaths of allegiance, supremacy, or abjuration, or for not making, &c. the declaration required to be taken to enable any person to hold any office or place of, trust or profit, or for not receiving the sacrament of the Lord's supper according to the rites of the church of England.
