6 Who can prove what Thou hast proved?
Who can win what Thou hast won?
Who can love as Thou hast loved?
Who can do as Thou hast done?

7 Who can cleanse the soul from sin,
Hear the prayer and seal the vow?
Who can fill the void within,
Blessed Saviour, who but Thou?

8 Therefore evermore I'll give

Thanks and praise, my God, to Thee;
Evermore in Thee I live,

Evermore live Thou in me.

38.

Amen.

John S. B. Monsell.

"Ye approach this day unto battle against your enemies : let not your hearts faint."-Deut. xx. 3.

onward

go,
Fight the fight, maintain the strife,
Strengthened with the bread of life.

2 Onward, Christians, onward go,
Join the war and face the foe.
Faint not! Much doth yet remain,
Dreary is the long campaign.

3 Shrink not, Christians! Will ye yield?
Will ye quit the painful field?
Will ye flee in danger's hour?
Know ye not your Captain's power?

4 Let your drooping hearts be glad ;
March, in heavenly armour clad ;
Fight, nor think the battle long;
Soon shall victory tune your song.

5 Let not sorrow dim your eye;
Soon shall every tear be dry:
Let not fears your course impede;
Great your strength, if great your need.

6 Onward then to battle move;
More than conquerors ye shall prove :
Though opposed by many a foe,

Christian soldiers, onward go.

Amen.

"The Lord hath done great things for us, whereof we are glad."-Ps. cxxvi. 3.

N our way rejoicing as we homeward move,

Harken to our praises, O Thou God of love! Is there grief or sadness? Thine it cannot be ! Is our sky beclouded? Clouds are not from Thee! On our way rejoicing, as we homeward move, Hearken to our praises, O Thou God of love!

2 If with honest-hearted love for God and man, Day by day Thou find us doing what we can, Thou who giv'st the seed-time wilt give large increase, Crown the head with blessings, fill the heart with peace.

On our way rejoicing, &c.

3 On our way rejoicing gladly let us go;

Conquered hath our Leader, vanquished is our foe!
Christ without, our safety, Christ within, our joy ;
Who, if we be faithful, can our hope destroy?
On our way rejoicing, &c.

4 Unto God the Father joyful songs we sing;
Unto God the Saviour thankful hearts we bring ;
Unto God the Spirit bow we and adore,
On our way rejoicing now and evermore !
On our way rejoicing, &c.

Amen.

"Put on the whole armour of God."-Eph. vi. 11.

OLDIERS of Christ! arise,

SOLDI

And put your armour on,

Strong in the strength which God supplies
Through His eternal Son:

2 Strong in the Lord of Hosts,
And in His mighty power:
Who in the strength of Jesus trusts
Is more than conqueror!

3 Stand, then, in His great might,
With all His strength endued;
And take, to arm you for the fight,
The armour of your God.

4 From strength to strength go on,
Wrestle, and fight, and pray,
Tread all the powers of darkness down,
And win the well-fought day:

5 That, having all things done,

And all your conflicts past,

Ye may o'ercome through Christ alone,
And perfect stand at last.

Amen.

Charles Wesley.
