Basic TrainingHAVE YOU COMPLETED YOUR TRAINING? Before any soldier goes to war or active duty, they are required to complete "Basic Training." In order to win our "battle against authorities, powers of this dark world and evil forces in high places" (Ephesians 6:12), every believer must also successfully complete "Basic Training." The reason many of us are living defeated lives is because we go to war unprepared. We enlist for active duty without completing our training. In Basic Training: The 7 Essentials for Spiritual Maturity, the author teaches us the seven essentials needed to establish the believer in the faith and to spiritually mature and prepare them to be victorious in their life. This material is critical for all believers and foundational classes in the local church. Vanable H. Moody II, affectionately known as "Pastor Van," is the founder and Senior Pastor Teacher of the Worship Center Christian Church in Birmingham, Alabama. Since being led to establish the ministry, The Worship Center has grown at an astounding pace. The ministry grew from 20 members to over 1,000 within the first year. This growth has caused the City of Birmingham to experience a fresh and anointed move of God. From the young age of eighteen, Pastor Van has ministered the word of God, both diligently and faithfully, to individuals from all walks of life. His voice has been heard in various arenas nationally and internationally. These arenas include but are not limited to: The 30th Anniversary of the March on Washington, The Black Women in Church and Society Think Tank, The Decade to Overcome Violence Conference of the World Council of Churches in Berlin, Germany and with the late Pope John Paul II and his Pontifical Council in Rome, Italy.
