7. Repeal of provision as to payment of Salaries and Allowances under 1 & 2

The Treasury

for the Commissioners.

And be it Enacted, That so much of the said recited Act of the first and second years of the reign of his said late Majesty King WILLIAM the Fourth as authorizes the Lord Lieutenant or other Chief Governor or Governors of Ireland for the time being to issue and advance, or cause to be issued and advanced, such sums of 5 money, in such manner as therein mentioned, out of any of the public monies remaining in Her Majesty's Exchequer in Dublin, for the purpose of paying the salaries and allowances, and in defraying all other necessary charges and expenses in or about the execution of the said Act, be and the same is hereby repealed.

And be it Enacted, That no obligation, contract, agreement, assignment, deed, conveyance or other instrument whatever taken or made to or by the said Commissioners for the execution of the said Act of the first and second years of the reign of his late Majesty King WILLIAM the Fourth, for the Extension and Promotion of Public 15 Works in Ireland, or any of the Acts amending the same, nor any affidavit, deposition, certificate, order or receipt to be respectively taken or made under or by virtue of the said last-mentioned Acts, or any of them, shall be liable to any stamp duty whatever, any thing in any Act or Acts in force in Ireland to the contrary in anywise not- 20 withstanding.

And be it Enacted, That it shall and may be lawful for the Lords Commissioners of Her Majesty's Treasury, or any Three or more of tional Officers, them, from time to time to fix and appoint such salaries as they may think fit, for the said Commissioners of Public Works, and also to 25 appoint such additional and other officers, clerks and servants, and at such salaries as the said Commissioners of the Treasury may think proper and necessary, and from time to time to dismiss such officers, clerks and servants, and to appoint others in their place and stead, and also to make such orders, rules and regulations, and from time to time to vary and alter the same as they the said Commissioners of Her Majesty's Treasury may think necessary and proper, for the full and effectual execution of the provisions of the said recited Acts and this Act, and of the discharge of the duties of the Commissioners of Public Works for the time being thereunder.

10. Act may be amended or

repealed during the

present

Session.

And be it Enacted, That this Act may be amended or repealed by any Act to be passed in the present Session of Parliament.
