of the next; and that we may join in the worship of thy Church with such stediness of faith, with such seriousness, affection, and devotion of mind, that thou mayest accept our bounden duty and service, and vouchsafe to give whatever in thine infinite wisdom thou shalt see to be most expedient for us. Bless to us also the reading and preaching of thy Word, and sow in our hearts the seed of eternal life; that whatsoever in the Holy Scriptures we shall profitably learn we may indeed fulfil the same, through Jesus Christ our Lord.
