STATEMENT OF THE SCHEDULED DISTRICTS IN WHICH THE
CODE IS IN FORCE.

I. The whole Code (except sections 1 and 3) has been extended under s. 5 of the Scheduled Districts Act, 1874, to the following Scheduled Districts:

II. In addition to the above extensions under the Scheduled Districts
Act, the Code has by special enactment been declared in force in the following
Scheduled Districts.

Aden and Perim (subject to modifications)—by Act II of 1864, s. 16 and s. 3 of the
Code;

the Andaman and Nicobar Islands (with certain modifications noted infra)-by Reg. III
of 1876, s. 14 (as amended by Reg. I of 1884, s. 4); and

the Town of Mandalay (part of the Scheduled District of Upper Burma)—by_Act_XX of 1886, s. 6, and Sch. II, Part II.

Ss. 1 and 3 extended to the whole of British India and consequently to all scheduled districts which are not de-regulationised.
