CHAP. 1.

An Act for granting to Her Majesty certain sums of money to defray the expenses of Civil Government for the year one thousand eight hundred and seventy-seven, and to provide for certain sums expended for the public service in the year one thousand eight hundred and seventy-five.

HEREAS it appears by Messages from His Honour the Preamble. Honourable Donald Alexander Macdonald, LieutenantGovernor of Ontario, and the Estimates accompanying the same, that the sums hereinafter mentioned in the Schedule to this Act are required to defray certain expenses of the Civil Government of this Province, and of the public service thereof, and for other purposes, for the year one thousand eight hundred and seventy-seven, and to make good certain expenditures made in the year one thousand eight hundred and seventy-five: May it therefore please Your Majesty, that it may be enacted, and it is hereby enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of the Province of Ontario, as follows::

1. From and out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund of this $2,624,602.38. Province, there shall and may be paid and applied a sum (not granted out of exceeding in the whole) of two million six hundred and twenty- dated Revenue four thousand six hundred and two dollars and thirty-eight Fund for cercents, for defraying the several charges and expenses of the Civil Government of this Province, for the year one thousand eight hundred and seventy-seven, and of other services for the year one thousand eight hundred and seventy-five, as set forth in Schedule "A" to this Act.
