PASSED AT THE 134TH REGULAR SESSION OF THE LEGISLATURE, PEGUN JANUARY 4, 1911, AND ENDED CCTOBER 6, 1911, AT THE CITY OF AI BANY.

VOLUME I.

Chap. 1.

AN ACT reappropriating a portion of the unexpended balance of the appropriation heretofore made to the office of the secretary of state for carrying out the provisions of article eleven of the highway law, in relation to motor vehicles.1

Became a law February 3, 1911, with the approval of the Governor. Passed by a two-thirds vote.

The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assembly, do enact as follows:

Section 1. The sum of forty-seven thousand dollars ($47,000), or so much thereof as may be necessary, being a portion of the unexpended balance of the appropriation of one hundred and ninety thousand dollars ($190,000) made to the office of the secretary of state by chapter five hundred and twelve of the laws of nineteen hundred and ten for carrying out the provisions of article eleven of the highway law in relation to motor vehicles, is hereby reappropriated and made available for salaries of employees, in addition to the sum of thirty-five thousand dollars ($35,000) made available by such act for such purpose, and the sum of three thousand dollars ($3,000), or so much thereof as may be necessary, being a portion of such unexpended balance of such appropriation of one hundred and ninety thousand dollars ($190,000), is hereby reappropriated and made available for copensation of examiners in addition to the sum of fifteen thousand dollars ($15,000) made available by such act for such purpose. § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.

Chap. 2.

AN ACT making appropriations for the commission, appointed pursuant to chapter five hundred and eighteen of th laws of nineteen hundred and nine, to inquire into the question of employers' liability and certain other questions specified in such act.

Became a law February 14, 1911, with the approval of the Governor. Passed by a two-thirds vote.

The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assembly, do enact as follows:

Section 1. The sum of five thousand dollars ($5,000), or so much thereof as may be necessary, is hereby appropriated out of any moneys in the treasury not otherwise appropriated for the commission appointed pursuant to chapter five hundred and eighteen of the laws of nineteen hundred and nine, payable by the treasurer upon the warrant of the comptroller and the certificate of the chairman of the commission, for the purposes specified in such

act.

2. This act shall take effect immediately.

Chap. 3.

AN ACT making appropriations for certain immediate expenses of the legislature, and providing for deficiencies in former appropriations therefor.

Became a law February 17, 1911, with the approval of the Governor. Passed by a two-thirds vote.

The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assembly, do enact as follows:

Section 1. The several sums hereinafter named, or so much thereof as may be necessary, are hereby appropriated out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated, payable by the treasurer on the warrant of the comptroller for the purposes and in the manner hereinafter provided:

For deficiency in the contingent fund of the legislature, the sum of twenty thousand dollars ($20,000).
