To the Honorable Secretary of State: I file herewith House Bill No. 234, an Act making an appropriation for the current and contingent expenses of the School for the Deaf at Devils Lake, and making permanent improvements and additions thereto, with my approval except as to the following items: $1,000 for repairs to new building; $500 for cement walks and care of grounds, both in Section 1. $300 for machine shed; $300 for hog house in Section 2. $600 for Dairy barn equipment in Section 3. $7,000 for Purchasing Real Estate and Perfecting Water Supply in Section 4. An Act to Appropriate $1,040.00 for the Payment of $10.00 once Each Week during the Biennium 1917-1919, as an Aid to the Society for the Friendless, Authorized under Chapter 46 of the North Dakota Session Laws of 1911. Be it Enacted by the Legislative Assembly of the State of North Dakota: § 1. APPROPRIATION.] There is hereby appropriated out of any not otherwise appropriated funds in the state treasury, the sum of $1,040.00, or so much thereof as may be necessary to provide an allowance of $10.00 once each week during the biennium 1917-1919 to the Society for the Friendless, as prescribed by Chapter 46 of the Session Laws of North Dakota for 1911. An Act Appropriating Money for the Use of the Office of State Auditor between the Following Dates: March 1st, 1917, to March 1st, 1918. Be it Enacted by the Legislative Assembly of the State of North Dakota: § 1. APPROPRIATION.] There is hereby appropriated out of any moneys in the state treasury not otherwise appropriated the sums hereinafter named, only, or so much thereof as may be necessary for the office of the state auditor and for his use for the following specified purposes, between the following dates, namely March 1st, 1917, to March 1st, 1918, to-wit: Salary, one special field clerk.. EMERGENCY.] Whereas, it is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health and safety that this Act shall become effective without delay for the following reasons, namely: That there are no moneys now available for the purpose of securing additional office help which is necessary and for the deficiency in office supplies, furniture and fixtures and miscellaneous funds of said office. An Act Prescribing that all Fees Collected by the State Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners shall be Paid into the General Fund of the State of North Dakota; and Making an Appropriation of $1,500.00 to Pay the Expenses of the State Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners as Authorized under Section 2711 to 2720, both inclusive, of the Compiled Laws of 1913 for North Dakota. Be it Enacted by the Legislative Assembly of the State of North Dakota: § 1. FEES TO BE PAID IN THE GENERAL FUND.] All fees hereafter collected by the State Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners shall be paid into and become a part of the General Fund of North Dakota. § 2.
