The meeting was called to order in the Circuit Court Room, Urbana, by President Lindley, at 10:45 o'clock.

Mr. William G. Spurgin of Urbana delivered the address of Welcome on behalf of the Champaign County Bar Asciation, and Mr. E. E. Donnelly of Bloomington responded.

Judge A. F. Goodyear of Watseka delivered an address on "The Work of The American Law Institute." Following this talk Mr. R. Allan Stephens of Springfield, Secretary of the Illinois State Bar Association, announced that he had a number of the restatements issued by the Institute for sale to members.

The President appointed the following committees: Resolutions, John H. McCoy of Decatur, Walter J. Bookwalter of Danville, Franklin H. Boggs of Urbana; on Place of Next Meeting, Frank L. Trutter, Springfield, W. G. Palmer of Urbana, and Paul Jones of Danville; on Nominations, S. S. Anderson of Charleston, James A. Henson, Deca

tur, and A. W. Summers of Eldorado. A special committee was appointed to draft a resolution of sympathy for the death of George M. Gillespie, consisting of Henry I. Green of Urbana, August A. Partlow of Danville, and James S. Baldwin of Decatur.

The meeting then adjourned to the Urbana-Lincoln Hotel where the Champaign County Bar Association entertained the visiting attorneys at a luncheon. Mr. Franklin L. Velde of Pekin, Vice-President of the Illinois State Bar Association, delivered an address to this gathering.

The afternoon session reconvened in the Circuit Court Room. The President introduced Judge A. W. Summers of Eldorado, Chairman of the Committee on New Members of the Illinois State Bar Association, who spoke briefly on the advantages of membership in the State Association, urging those present who were not already members to make their application.

The committee reports were called for and rendered. The Committee on Nominations made the following recommendations: For President, William G. Palmer, Urbana; for Vice-President, E. S. Smith, Springfield; for SecretaryTreasurer, George H. Webb, Springfield; for Member of the Board of Governors, James S. Baldwin, Decatur. On motion duly made and carried these officers were declared elected. The committee on Place of Next Meeting recommended Springfield, which recommendation was duly adopted by the meeting. The Committee on Resolutions made the following report, which was adopted by motion duly made and carried:
