distinguished members, a chairman of a committee. His committee was scheduled for one-thirty and I called it in the morning. Now we have some things scheduled for this afternoon, the report of the tellers, for example, and if there is unanimous consent I shall call for the report of the tellers now, instead of this afternoon. Are the tellers ready to report?

MR. P. J. MEERSMAN (Moline): The result of the election was 720 ballots cast for the officers that were nominated by the Nominating Committee, that is,

Mr. George H. Wilson for President,

Mr. Rush C. Butler, First Vice-President,
Mr. Franklin L. Velde, Second Vice-President,

Mr. John D. Black, Third Vice-President,

Mr. R. Allan Stephens, Secretary,

Mr. Frank L. Trutter, Treasurer,

Mr. William J. Fulton for member of the Board of Governors, and

Mr. Amos C. Miller and Mr. S. S. Anderson for members of the Board of Governors.

(Applause).

THE PRESIDENT: You have heard the report, which is unanimous, and the officers are declared elected.

I wish to say in closing and turning over to my suecessor the office of President, that I can not express to you my very great appreciation of the courtesy and co-operation which has been shown during the past year by all of the members of the Association. I can not tell you how much I have enjoyed serving in the capacity of President of this Association, and my only regret is that more has not been accomplished, and things have not been done more

promptly, but I feel a great relief in that respect in turning And I wish to say that I

over the office to my successor.

have all good wishes for the new President.

Mr. Wilson, will you take the chair?

(Mr. Wilson took the chair).

Gentlemen, and

MR. GEORGE H. WILSON (Quincy): Ladies of the Association: It is unnecessary to say that I am deeply sensible of the honor of being elected President of this Association. I do not know of any higher honor in the line of our profession that one could secure, and I can only express the hope that in the next year we may hope for the success of our President who is just retiring.

I believe there is nothing further to do except for me to assist in the obsequies of this occasion, and, according to the time honored custom, I declare this meeting adjourned.

(Applause).
