20. The form C in the Schedule of the "Election Regulation Act" Amends form C in is hereby repealed, and the form C in the Schedule to this Act shall be substituted therefor.

Lillooet Districts.

21. The provisions of this Act shall not apply to the Electoral This Act no to Districts of Yale or Lillooet, or either of them: Provided, however, apply to Yale or that the Lieutenant-Governor in Council shall, upon the petition of a majority of the registered voters of either of such districts, extend, by proclamation, to the district so petitioning, the provisions of this Act, and thenceforth the provisions of this Act shall be in full force in such district.

22. This Act may be cited as the " Election Regulation Amendment Short title. Act, 1889."

CHAPTER 7.

An Act to amend the "Game Protection Act."

[Repealed by Chap. 20, 1892.]

ER MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of the Province of British Columbia, enacts as follows:

1. Sub-section (5) of section 67 of the "Jurors Act" is hereby Amends sub-section amended by striking out the word "twelve," in the sixth line, and (5) of section 67. inserting in lieu thereof the word "fourteen."

2. Sub-section (6) of the said section 67 is hereby amended by strik- Amends sub-section ing out the word "twenty," in the third line, and inserting the word (6) of section 67. "sixteen" in lieu thereof.

3. Sub-section (7) of the said section 67 is hereby amended by strik- Amends sub-section ing out the word "twenty," in the first line, and inserting the word (7) of section 67.

sixteen" in lieu thereof; and by inserting at the end of the section,

"but neither party shall be entitled to a peremptory challenge at the

polls of more than four."

4. Section 69 of the said Act is hereby amended by striking out all Amends section 69. the words after "a," on the fourth line, and adding in lieu thereof,

reasonable sum to cover the extra expense to which the Sheriff may be put for service of those jurors who may reside upwards of a mile from the Sheriff's office, such sum to be agreed upon between the parties and the Sheriff, or, in the event of difference, to be fixed by the District Registrar. There shall also at the same time be paid to the Sheriff the sums following, viz.:—

"(1.) Mileage at the rate of ten cents per mile one way for each juryman coming a distance of five miles or upwards to the Court House:

"(2.) Sixteen dollars for payment to the jury, whether they shall

serve or not;
