indirectly repay or secure, nor has any Person to my Knowledge or Belief, or on my Behalf, given or promised to give to any Person or Persons, or for his or their Use, or at all, any Sum of Money paid or secured or agreed to be paid or secured as a Subscription to the said Infirmary or Dispensary, or any Part thereof; and that no Person whose Subscription to said Infirmary or Dispensary, or any Portion thereof, has been paid or secured by me, or any Person acting for me or on my Behalf, in order to qualify him to become a Governor of the said Infirmary, has voted for me: And I do declare, that my Appointment to the Office of is totally unconnected

with any Arrangement between me and my Predecessor in such Office, and that no Arrangement has been made with him, to my Knowledge or Belief, by any Person on my Behalf.

of Contributions and Payments of Friendly
Societies, and for ascertaining from Time to
Time the Solvency of such Societies.

HEREAS it is expedient to make better Provision for the Preamble. certifying the Tables of Contributions and Payments of Friendly Societies, and to provide for ascertaining from Time to Time the Solvency of such Societies: Be it therefore 5 enacted by the Queen's most Excellent Majesty, by and with the Advice and Consent of the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and Commons, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the Authority of the same, That after the passing of this Act the Registrar of Registrar of Friendly Societies in England, Scotland, or Ireland shall not certify Friendly So10 the Rules of any Friendly Society established after the passing of grant Certhis Act for the Purpose of securing any Benefit or Benefits depend- tificate until the Friendly ing on the Laws of Sickness or Mortality, unless such Society shall Society apadopt a Table which shall have been certified to be a Table or plying for Tables which may be safely and fairly adopted for such Purpose cate shall 15 under the Hand of the Actuary to the Commissioners for the Re- have adopted duction of the National Debt, or of some Person who shall have been Rates of A for Contribution.
