AN ACT prohibitiug the establishment and conducting of dancing saloons and hurdy houses in the Territory of Montana.

Be it enacted by the Legislative Assembly of the Territory of Montana :

INTOXICATING LIQUORS.

AN ACT to repeal an act entitled "An Act to provide against
evils resulting from the sale of intoxicating liquors in the
Territory of Montana, and for other purposes," approved
January 12th, 1372.

Be it enacted by the Legislative Assembly of the Territory
of Montana:

Section 1. to any minor, without the consent of the parent or guardian of such minor, shall be liable in damages to any person who may be injured thereby, in money, property, or means of support, and such person so selling or giving intoxicating liquors as aforesaid, shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and, on conviction thereof, shall be punished by fine not exceeding fifty dollars, or by imprisonment in the county jail not exceeding thirty days, or both such fine and imprisonment, in the discretion of the court. Sec. 2. Any married woman may sue in her own woman may name, and a minor, by guardian or next friend, for the purpose of recovering the damages named in section one of this act, and costs of suit.

AN ACT to amend section eight of chapter thirty-seven of an act entitled, "An Act revising, re-enacting and codifying the general and permanent laws of Montana territory," approved January 12th, 1872.

Be it enacted by the Legislative Assembly of the Territory of Montana:

Section 1. That section eight of chapter thirtyseven of an act entitled, "An act, revising, re-enactmended, ing and codifying the general and permanent laws of Montana territory," approved January 12th, 1872, be so amended as to read as follows:

AN ACT to amend section 112 of chapter 21, on page 456 of printed statutes of an act entitled, "An Act revising, re-enacting and codifying the general and permanent laws of Montana territory," approved January 12th, 1872.

Be it enacted by the Legislative Assembly of the Territory of Montana:

Section 1. That section 112 of chapter 21 of an act entitled, "An Act revising, re-enacting and codifying the general and permanent laws of Montana territory," approved January 12th, 1872, be amended so as to read as follows:

Sec. 112. That on the first Monday of August next there shall be elected by the qualified voters and constables of each township, which may be organized by the board of county commissioners, two justices of the peace, one of whom shall be elected for two years, and one for one year, and it shall be so designated on the ballot; also two constables for the same time, and in the same manner, and annually thereafter there shall be elected one justice of the peace and one constable who shall hold their term of office for two years.

Sec. 3. That all acts and parts of acts in conflict with this act be, and the same are hereby repealed. Sec. 3. This act shall take effect from and after its passage.

AN ACT to fix the time of holding the regular sessions of the future legislative assemblies of Montana territory.

Section 1. That the regular sessions of the legis lative assembly of this territory shall be held at the capital, beginning on the first Monday after the first day of January in such years as are provided for in the Organic Act, as amended.
