CHAP. 112--An Act fixing the compensation of certain township officers of East Fork Township, Douglas County, State of Nevada, and matters relating thereto.

The People of the State of Nevada, represented in Senate and
Assembly, do enact as follows:

SECTION 1. The constable in and for East Fork Township, Douglas County, State of Nevada, shall receive a salary of four hundred and eighty ($480) dollars per annum, payable in twelve equal monthly installments, in full and complete compensation for all services rendered.

SEC. 2. The justice of the peace in and for East Fork Township, Douglas County, State of Nevada, shall receive a salary of seven hundred and twenty ($720) dollars per annum, payable in twelve equal monthly installments, and reasonable expenses incurred in the performance of his duties as ex officio coroner and in addition thereto, he shall receive all fees collected by him for marriage ceremonies by him performed.

SEC. 3. All fees, civil and criminal or otherwise, all commissions and all money due or collected by said officers, ex officio or otherwise, shall be paid into the county treasury; said salaries as herein fixed being full payment and compensation for all services of said officers, ex officio and otherwise, and they shall receive no other nor further compensation for such services.

SEC. 4.

CHAP. 113-An Act fixing the salaries and compensation of certain county officers of Douglas County, State of Nevada, and matters relating thereto.

The People of the State of Nevada, represented in Senate and
Assembly, do enact as follows:

SECTION 1.

From and after July 1, 1915, the county officers of Douglas County, State of Nevada, named in this act, shall receive the following salaries in full compensation for all services rendered by them:

The sheriff, for services as sheriff, shall receive the sum of fourteen hundred dollars ($1,400) per annum, payable in twelve equal monthly installments, which shall be in full and for all services rendered. The sheriff shall pay into the county treasury each month all moneys collected by him as fees in civil and criminal cases and all other fees and commissions collected by him, with a statement certified under oath, and

no salary shall be allowed or paid to said officer for any month Sheriff unless said statement has been so made and filed with the county clerk; said sheriff may appoint a deputy or deputies at his own expense to assist him in the duties of the office; provided further, that said salary includes all traveling and other expenses in the county, and said sheriff shall personally pay all traveling and other expenses of himself and deputies when traveling on official business in Douglas County. Said sum being in full compensation for all services now imposed or to be imposed by law on said sheriff, and all fees and commissions collected or due him for services rendered as such officer shall be paid into the county treasury for the county. The sheriff, as ex officio county assessor, shall receive the sum of thirteen hundred dollars ($1,300) per annum, payable in twelve equal monthly installments. All fees, commissions, or moneys due and payable said officer shall be collected by him and paid into the county treasury monthly; said sum of thirteen hundred dollars ($1,300) being full and complete compensation for all services rendered and for all traveling expenses as such officer.

The county clerk for services as county clerk shall receive the Clerk sum of nine hundred ($900) dollars per annum, and for services as ex officio county treasurer the sum of nine hundred ($900) dollars per annum, payable in twelve equal monthly installments, which shall be full and complete compensation for all services rendered as such county clerk and as ex officio county treasurer. The said clerk and ex officio treasurer shall pay into the county treasury each month all moneys collected by him as fees in civil and criminal cases, and all other fees and commissions collected by him, with a statement certified under oath, and no salary shall be allowed or paid to said officer for any month unless said statement has been so made and filed with the board of county commissioners. Said sums to be full and complete compensation for all services rendered as such officer, ex officio and otherwise, and all fees, commissions, and moneys due and collected by him shall be paid into the county treasury. The county recorder for services as county recorder shall Recorder receive the sum of seven hundred and fifty dollars ($750) per annum, and for services as ex officio auditor the sum of seven hundred and fifty dollars ($750) per annum, payable in twelve equal monthly installments, in full and complete compensation for all services rendered as such county recorder and ex officio auditor. The said recorder and ex officio auditor shall pay into the county treasury each month all moneys collected by him as fees in civil and criminal cases, and all other fees and commissions collected by him, with a statement certified under oath, and no salary shall be allowed or paid to said officer for any month unless said statement has been so made and filed with the county clerk. Said sums to be full and complete compensation for all services rendered as such officer, ex officio and otherwise, and all fees, commissions, and moneys due and collected by him shall be paid into the county treasury.

The district attorney for services as district attorney shall receive the sum of twelve hundred ($1,200) dollars per annum, payable in twelve equal monthly installments, in full and complete compensation for all services as district attorney, and all fees and commissions due and collected by him shall be paid into the county treasury; provided further, that said district attorney shall prosecute all criminal cases and attend the trials of the same at any place in said county, and also attend to and be the legal adviser for said county. Said salary to be in full compensation for all services and traveling expenses within said county while on official business.

The above salaries shall be in full compensation for all services and ex officio services to be performed by the abovenamed officers, both civil and criminal, and said officers shall collect all money and moneys due as fees, commissions, or otherwise and pay the same into the county treasury, said salaries so fixed being in full for all services, and said officers shall receive no further or other compensation for such services. SEC. 2. This act shall take effect from and after July 1, 1915. SEC. 3. All acts and parts of acts in conflict with this act are hereby repealed.

CHAP. 114—An Act authorizing the secretary of state to furnish certain printed documents to the school of law of the Catholic University of America.

The People of the State of Nevada, represented in Senate and
Assembly, do enact as follows:

SECTION 1. The secretary of state is hereby authorized and directed to donate to the school of law of the Catholic University of America, so far as same can be furnished, one complete set of the appendices of the senate and assembly journals of this state commencing with the first territorial session of the legislature and extending down to the present time; provided, he shall deliver said books to such law school in Carson City, or so as to incur no expense for freight thereon.

CHAP. 115-An Act to amend section one of an act entitled "An act to create judicial districts in the State of Nevada, provide for the election of district judges therein, and to fix their salary, and to repeal all other acts in relation thereto," approved March 22, 1913.

The People of the State of Nevada, represented in Senate and
Assembly, do enact as follows:

SECTION 1. Section 1 of the above-entitled act is hereby amended to read as follows:

Section 1. The State of Nevada is hereby divided into ten Ten judicial judicial districts. The counties of Storey, Douglas, and Ormsby state; each shall constitute the First judicial district; the county of Washoe described shall constitute the Second judicial district; the counties of Eureka and Lander shall constitute the Third judicial district; the county of Elko shall constitute the Fourth judicial district; the county of Nye shall constitute the Fifth judicial district; the county of Humboldt shall constitute the Sixth judicial district; the counties of Esmeralda and Mineral shall constitute the Seventh judicial district; the counties of Lyon and Churchill shall constitute the Eighth judicial district; the county of White Pine shall constitute the Ninth judicial district; and the counties of Lincoln and Clark shall constitute the Tenth judicial district. For each of said districts, judges. shall be elected by the qualified electors thereof at the general election in 1918, and every four years thereafter, except as otherwise provided in this act, as follows: For each of said districts, except the Second judicial district, there shall be Two judges, elected one judge. For the Second judicial district there shall district be two judges elected.

CHAP. 116-An Act to authorize the board of county commissioners of White Pine County, State of Nevada, to issue bonds for the purpose of building and furnishing a schoolhouse in Lund school district, and matters properly relating thereto.

The People of the State of Nevada, represented in Senate and
Assembly, do enact as follows:

SECTION 1. The board of county commissioners of White Schoolhouse Pine County is hereby authorized, empowered, and directed to district, prepare and issue bonds of said county, such bonds to be issued White Pine on or before the first day of February, 1916, for an amount not to exceed the sum of seven thousand ($7,000) dollars, exclusive of interest, for the purpose of providing funds for the construction of a schoolhouse in the town of Lund in said county (upon a site to be chosen by the board of school trustees of Lund school district), and for equipping and furnishing said building.

SEC. 2. The board of county commissioners of said White Bonds to be Pine County shall cause said bonds to be prepared and made ready for issuance. Said bonds shall be signed by the chairman of the board, countersigned by the county treasurer, and authenticated by the seal of the county; coupons for interest shall be attached to each bond, so that the same may be removed without injury to the bond, and each of said coupons shall be consecutively numbered, and signed by the chairman. of said board and the county treasurer.

SEC. 3. The clerk of the board of county commissioners shall keep a record of all proceedings under the provisions of this act, showing the number and date of each bond and to whom issued. SEC. 4. The board of county commissioners of White Pine Negotiation County is hereby authorized to negotiate the sale of said bonds, or such number thereof as they may deem necessary, by advertising for sealed proposals or by private sales, as they may deem for the best interests of the county, and may reject any and all bids; provided, that no bonds shall be sold for less than par value; and provided further, that all bonds shall be made for gold coin of the United States, and the interest thereon shall be payable in like gold coin.

SEC. 5. Said bonds shall be numbered consecutively from one to twenty, and shall be redeemable at the rate of one tion of bonds each year, and the interest on the same shall not exceed six per cent per annum payable annually on the first Monday of July of each year at the office of the county treasurer of the said White Pine County. Said bonds shall be in the denominations as follows: Bonds one to five shall be for the sum two hundred dollars ($200) each; bonds six to ten shall be for the sum of three hundred dollars ($300) each; bonds eleven to fifteen shall be for the sum of four hundred dollars (8400) each; and bonds fifteen to twenty shall be for the sum of five hundred dollars ($500) each.

SEC. 6. All moneys derived from the sale of said bonds shall be paid to the county treasurer of said county, and the said treasurer is hereby required to receive and safely keep the same in a fund hereby created and known as "Lund School District Fund, and to pay out said moneys only in the manner now provided by law and for the purposes for which the same were received.

SEC. 7. The board of trustees of Lund school district is hereby authorized and directed to use said moneys arising from the sale of said bonds, or such number thereof as they may deem necessary, for the construction, equipment, and furnishing of a school building in the Lund school district, and any balance remaining in said fund, after the completion, equipment, and furnishing of said building, shall be turned over and converted into the proper fund provided for running and maintaining said school, in accordance with and pursuant to the provisions of law pertaining to the establishment of schools in the various counties of this state.

SEC. 8. Said board of trustees of Lund school district shall determine as to the character of said building, the materials to be used therefor, and the plans therefor, and when such determination is made, said board shall advertise for bids for the construction of said school building, and let the construction thereof by contract to the lowest and most responsible bidder. The laws in force governing contracts by boards of county commissioners are hereby made applicable to, and the
