XXVIII. And be it further enacted. That it fhall be lawful for
any Person or Persons, or any Body or Bodies Politic or Corporate,
at any Time or Times hereafter, to give, devife, grant, demise, or
convey, to or for the Ufe of, or in truft for the Rector or Parfon, for
the Time being, of the said R-&ory of Gateshead Fell, and his Suc-
effors, any Quantity of Land, not exceeding in the whole Ten
Acres, to be the Glebe belonging to the fame Rector and Parfon,
and his Succeffors, whereupon a Parfonage House, shall or may be
built or erected by the fame Rector and Parfon, and his Succeffors,
without any Licence to take or purchase in Morimain, and notwith-
flanding any Law, Statute, Cuftom, or other Impediments, or Dif-
ability whatever.

XXIX. And be it further enacted, That all the Laws of this Realm, concerning Rectories, Parish Churches, Rectors, Clergy, Churchwardens. and other Clerical and Parochial Offices, in that Part of the United Kingdom of Great Britain called England, fhal be in full Force and have Effe&t and Op-ration in all Refpects in regard to the faid R-&tory, Parifh, and Parish Church of Gateshead Fell, in like Manner, as if the fame had been originally and previously to the making and paffing of the fame Laws and Statutes a separate and diftinet Rectory, Par:fh, and Parish Church (except as otherwife directed and especially enacted by this Act.)

An Act for better fapplying with Water the Borough of Portsmouth,
and the Parishes of Portsmouth and Portfea, and Places adjacent, in
the County of Southampton:

LXVIII. And be it further enacted, That if any Perfon or Perfons fhail knowingly, wilfully, or maliciously break, throw down, damage, or defroy any Banks or other Works erected, made, or maintained by virtue of this Act, then and in every such Cafe every fuch Per

fon fhall be judged guilty of Felony, and the Court by and before whom fuch Perfon or Perfons fhall be tried and convicted fhall have Power and Authority to caufe fuch Perfon or Perfons to be transported for the Term of Seven Years, or fuch Court may award any other Sentence as the Law directs in Cafes of Petit Larceny.

LI. And be it further enacted, That if any Perfon or Perfons Panishing fhall at any Time bereafter wilfully and maliciously deftroy or injure Perfons deftroyany Mill, Engine, Bridge, Floodgate, Tunnel, Sluice, Doors, Banks, ing Works. or other Works which fhall at any Time be making or erecting, or made, erected, or ufed by or under the Authority of the faid Commiffioners for the Drainage and Improvement of the faid Lands and Grounds, or any of them, and fhall be thereof convicted on the Oth of one or more credible Witnefs or Witneffes, or on Confeffion of the Party or Parties fo offending, at any Affizes or General Quarter Seffions of the Peace to be holden in and for the County, Ile, Jurifdiction, Parts, or Divifion where the Offence fhall be committed, every fuch Perfon fhall be adjudged to be guilty of Felony, and fhall be tranfported for the Term of Seven Years, or fhall otherwife be punished as the Law directs in Cafes of Petit Larceny.

An A& for embanking, inclofing, and draining Lands within the Parish of Frifkeney, in the County of Lincoln. [27th May 1809.] LIX. And, for preventing the breaking down, deftroying or Penalty for damaging any of the Works which fhall be made or altered in purfuance of this Act, or otherwise obstructing the Execution of the fame;' be it further enacted, That if any Perfon or Perfons fhall at any Time or Times hereafter wilfully or maliciously demolish, pull down, break, fpoil or otherwife deftroy any Drain, Bank, Outlet, Sluice, Gowt, Clough, Bridge, Tunnel or other Work, which fhall at any Time or Times hereafter be made or erected for the Purpofes of this Act, all and every Perfon or Perfons fo offending, and being thereof lawfully convicted, shall be fubject and liable to the like Pains and Penalties as in Cafes of Felony; and the Court by and before whom such Perfon or Perfons fhall be tried and convicted, fhall have Power and Authority to caufe fuch Perfon or Persons to be punished in fuch Manner as Felons are directed to be punished by the Laws and Statutes of this Realm, or the Court may and are hereby empowered, if they fhail think fit, in Mitigation of fuch Punishment, to award and impofe fuch Fine or Imprisonment as such Court fhall judge expedient.

Thirtieth Year of His prefent Majefty, for better fupplying the
Town and Neighbourhood of Leeds, in the County of York, with
Water, and for more effectually lighting and cleansing the Streets
and other Places within the fad Town and Neighbourhood, and
for removing and preventing Nuifances and Annoyances therein;
and tor erecting a Court House and Prifon for the Borough of
Leeds, and for widening and improving the Streets and Paffages in
the faid Town.

An A&t to alter and explain Two Acts to enable the Globe In-
furance Company to fue in the Name of their Treafurer, and to
inrol Annuities.

And Whereas Doubts have arifen whether the said recited Acts of the Forty-feventh Year of His prefent Majefty are in all Respects effectual for the Purposes for which the fame were intended; wherefore, for obviating and removing fuch Doubts,' May it please Your Majesty, That it may be enacted, and be it enacted, and declared by the King's moit Excellent Majefty, by and with the Advice and Confent of the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and Commons in this prefent Parlament affeinbled, and by the Authority of the fame, That, from and immediately after the paffing of this A&, in all Agreements, Covenants. Contracts, Bonds, Obligations. War. rants, Judgments, Grants. Charges, Surrenders, Fines, Recoveries, Conveyances. and other Allurances whatfoever, by which any Annuity or yearly Rent hath been, or shail be fold, limited, or otherwife affured to, or in truft for, or for the Benefit of the faid Society or Partnership called. "The Globe Iufurance Company;" or to any Perfon or Perfona acting for, or on the Behalf of the laid Society or Partnership, or by which any Annuity or yearly Rent hath been, or fhall be granted, fold, limited, or otherwife affured by the faid Society or Partnership, called "The Globe Infurance Company," or by any Perfon or Perfons acting for, or on the Behalf of the faid Society or Partnership; and in all Memorials of the faid Affurances of the Company; refpectively, the Names of the Members of the faid Society or Partas if the Names.nerfhip, and of all the Perfons interefted in the fame, or acting on the Part or Behalf of the faid Members, or other Perfons, or any of them, or for whom they or any of them are Trustees, fhall, for all the Purposes of the faid A&t of the Seventeenth Year of the Reign of His prefent Majesty, be confidered to be fufficiently mentioned, expreffed, and contained within the Provifions of the faid Act of the Seventeenth Year of the Reign of His prefent Majefty, and the true Intent and Meaning of the fame, if, in the Affurances or any one of

the Affurances, by which fuch Annuities or Rents refpectively fhall be fold and fecured, and in the Memorials of the fame refpectively, it is or fhall be expreffed, or appears, or fhall appear, that the Annuity or yearly Rent fo granted, fold, limited or otherwife affured, is thereby granted, fold, limited, or otherwise affered by the faid Society or Partnership, or to or for the Benefit of the faid Society or Partnerfhip as the Cafe may be, and that the Confideration for the fame is paid, advanced, or given to, or by, or on the Behalf, or on the Account of the faid Society or Partnership, as the Cafe may be; and thereupon, (the other Requifites of the faid A&t of the Seventeenth Year of the Reign of His faid Majefty being complied with), the faid Deeds and Affurances, and the Memorials of the same shall be as valid, and effectual, to all Intents, Effects, Conftructions, and Purpofes wharfoever, as if the Names of all the Members of the laid Society or Partnership, and of all the Perfons interested in the faid Society or Partnership, or reprefented by them, or for, or on the Behalf of whom they, or any of them have acted, or been Trustees, or paid or advanced, or given the Money, or other Confideration for the fad Annuities, or fhall at or be Truftees, or pay or advance, or give the Money or other Confideration for the faid Annuities, were ftated in the faid Affurances and Memorials respectively, in the Manner preferibed by the faid A&t.

Provifions of this Act extended to the Company, whether compofed "of the prefent or future Members, § 2. This Act fhall not incor porate the Society, 3. Pub.ick Act § 4.
