Securities, pursuant to the faid A&t, passed in the Thirty-fecond Year of H's prefent Majefty's Reign, and purfuant to the feveral Acts of Parliament therein and herein before mentioned or referred to, and which Securities are thereby directed to be carried to the Account of Monies placed out for the Benefit and better Security of the Suitors of the High Court of Chancery, and alfo the Interest which fhall be produced from the Securities purchafed and to be purchased with fuch furplus Intereft beyond what shall be sufficient to answer the Purposes of the faid former Acts and the Purposes of this Act, fhall from Time to Time be placed out on Government or Parliamentary Securities, and fhall be placed to the Credit of the faid Account, raised in pursuance of the faid Act of the Thirty fecond Year of the Reign of His prefent Majelty, and intitul d, Account of Secu rities purchafed with furplus Intereft, arifing from Securities carried to an Account of Monies placed out for the Benefit and better Security of the Suitors of the High Court of Chancery, and which Fund fhall be applied to answer the Demands of the faid Suitors of the said Court of Chancery, in cafe it fall at any Time be neceffary to call in any of the Money of the faid Suitors, which hath been or may be placed out on Securities.

VI. And be it further enacted, That it fhall be lawful to and for the Lord High Chancellor of Great Britam, or Lord Keeper or Lord Commiffioners for the Cuftody of the Great Seal of Great Britain for the Time being, by any Order or Orders of the faid Court of Chancery, to change the Security cr Securities or any Part of the Securities purchafed or to be purchafed purfwant to the feveral A&ts of Parliament herein-before mentioned or referred to, or pursuant to this A&.

VII. Provided always, and be it further enacted and declared, That for and notwithstanding any of the Provifions contained in this Act, if at any Time hereafter the whole or any Part of the Money placed out pursuant to the faid feveral A&s of Parliament, or any of them, fhall be wanted to answer any of the Demands of the Suitors of the High Court of Chancery, then and in fuch Cafe the faid Court may and fhall direct the whole or any Part thereof to be called in, and the Securities in which the fame thall be placed, and alfo the Securities upon which the furplus Intereft and Dividends herein-before mentioned fhall be placed, to be fold and disposed of, in order that the Suitors of the faid Court may at all Times be paid their respec tive Demands out of the common and general Cash belonging to fuch

Suitors.

XXII. And be it enacted, That if any Perfon or Perfons fhall, after the paffing of this Act, maliciously and wantonly demolish, break down, or fet on Fire any of the Quays, Piers, Jetties, Breafts, Abutments, Walls, or other Works made and conftructed, or to be conftructed, in Terms of the faid recited Acts, or of this A&, or any Ship or Veffel lying in the faid Harbour or River, fuch Perfon fo offending, on being thereof legally convicted, fhall be deemed guilty of Felony, and be transported for the Space of Seven Years.

XLIV. And be it further enacted, That if any Perfon or Perfons Punishment for whatsoever shall, after the paffing of this Act, wilfully and mali. deftroying ciously deftroy any of the Piers, Jetties, Landing Places, or other Works, Works to be conftructed under the Authority of this Act, or any Felony, &c. of the Materials intended for any of the faid Works, or any Veffel lying or being in any Harbour made under the Authority of this Act, or any Veffel on its Paffage across the said Ferry, every fuch Perfon or Perfons fo offending, upon being lawfully convicted thereof, fhall be adjudged guity of Felony, and fhall fuffer Punishment, by Tranf portation, Fine, or Imprifonment, at the Difcretion of the Judge or Judges before whom fuch Offender or Offenders thall be tried and convicted.

"Boatmen licenfed at the Ferry fhall not be liable to be im"preffed. § 68.

An A&t for building a Bridge over the River Wenfum, between the
Scite where the Gotes called King Street Gates formerly food, and
Carrow Abbey, to the Hamlet of Thorpe, in the County of the City
of Norwich.

XVII. And be it further enacted, That the faid Bridge fhall not be rated or affeffed for or towards the Payment of any parochial Rate or Affeffnent what foever; nor fhall the faid Bridge be deemed a County Bridge. fo as to fubject the faid City of Norwich or the County of the faid City or the County of Norfolk to repair the fame.

XVIII. And for preferving the faid Bridge from wilful or maiicious Damage, and preventing all Interruptions to the building thereof,' Be it further enacted. That if any Perfon or Perfons fhall wilfully or maliciously blow up, pull down, or deftroy the fa'd Bridge, or any Part thereof, or the Toll Houfes, or Toll Gates or Side Bars erected or fet up, or to be erected or fet up, on the fa'd Bridge, or any of them, or any of the Works, Buildings, or Erections made or to be made in purfuance of this Act, or caufe or procure the fame, or any Part or Parts thereof refp: ctively to be fo blown up, pulled down, or destroyed, then and in every fuch Cafe every fuch Offender being lawfully convicted thereof fhall be adjudged guilty of Felony, and every fuch Perfon fo offending, and being thereof law. fully convicted, shall be subject to the like Punishment and Penaltics as in Cafes of Felony; and the Court by or before whom fuch Perfon fhall be tried and convicted, fhall have Power and Authority to cause fuch Perfon to be punished in like Manner as Felony is directed to be punished by the Laws and Statutes of this Realm, or in Mitigation of fuch Punishment, fuch Court may award fuch Punishment as the Law directs in Cafes of Fetty Larceny.
