under certain Reflrictions, for the Defence of the Realm: And Whereas another A&t paffed in this Seffion of Parliament, intituled, An Að

for completing the Militia of Great Britain: And Whereas by the 49 G. 3.c.58. faid Two firft recited Acts, Perfons enrolled to ferve or ferving in the Local Militia, are allowed to enlift or enter into the regular Militia And Whereas by the said laft recited A&t. the Commanding Officers of Militia are allowed to raise Men by Beat of Drum or otherwife, in their refpective Counties or Stewartries, or adjoining Counties or Stewartries: And Whereas it is expedient to reftrict the enlifting of Men from the Local Militia into any regular Militia, except the regular Militia of the County or Stewartry to which fuch Local Militia Men belong: May it therefore please Your Majefty, that it may be exacted;' and be it enacted by the King's moft Excellent Majefty, by and with the Advice and Confent of the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and Commons, in this prefent Par- No Man in the liament affembled, and by the Authority of the fame, That no Perfon Local Militia ballotted or enrolled to ferve, or ferving in the Local Militia, fhall shall enlist into be enlifted or enrolled, or fhall be allowed to enlift into or to be the regular enrolled in the regular Militia of any other County or Stewartry than Militia of any the County or Stewartry for which the Local Militia Man fhall be that for which he Connty except enrolled and ferving, or any One of the Counties or Stewartries of enrolled. which any Regiment, Battalion, or Corps of regular Militia fhall be compofed, if compofed of Men enrolled in more than One County or Stewartry; any Thing in the faid recited Acts, or either of them, to the contrary notwithstanding.
