allotted out of the Wages or Pay of every fuch Petty Officer, Seaman, or Landman, Non-commiffioned Officer of Marines or Marine, fhall be paid to the Perfon or Perfons entitled to receive the fame, by the Receiver General of the Land Tax of any County, Riding, or City, or by the Collector of the Cuftoms for any Port, or by the Collector of Excife for any Collection in Great Britain, neareit to the Place of Refidence of the Perfon or Perfons fo entitled to receive the faid Sums fo allotted to them as aforefaid.

XIV. And be it further enacted, That it shall be lawful for any Warrant Officer, Petty Officer, Seaman, or Marine, to revoke any Allotment he shall make under the Authority of this Act, provided he fhall have the Confent of the Captain or other Commanding Officer of the Ship in which he is ferving for doing fo; and on Notice to the proper Officer in the Navy Office of fuch Revocation, figned by any fuch Warrant Officer, Petty Officer, Seaman, or Marine, attefted by the Captain or other Commanding Officer, the Proportion of Wages which had been allotted fhall be no longer paid or payable to the Father or Children respectively.

XV. And whereas by the before recited Act; passed in the Thirty-first Year of the Reign of His late Majetty King George the Second, and in the Thirty-fecond Year of the Reign of His prefent Majefty, for explaining and amending the fame, Inferior Officers and Seamen, and Non-commiffioned Officers of Marines and Marines, in certain Cafes therein mentioned, are empowered to remit their Wages to certain Relations therein alfo mentioned;' B: it further enacted, That in the Cafes fpecified in the faid laft-mentioned Act, every Petty Officer and Seaman, Non-commiffioned Officer of Marines and Marine, fhall be entitled to remit his Wages to any Child or Children of the Age of Eighteen Years and upwards, agreeably to the Directions of the faid Acts, to be payable in the fame Manner as is prefcribed in the faid Acts, and under the fame Forms, Limitations, and Restrictions as are therein contained for the Remittance and Payment of Wages to other Relations; and in cafe the faid Child or Children fhall not be of the Age of Eighteen Years, the Remittance fhall be made to fome fit Berfon or Perfons inhabiting the Parish where fuch Child or Children may refide, for the Ufe and Benefit of fuch Child or Children, who fhall be approved by the Minifter and Churchwardens or Churchwarden, Elders or Elder of fuch Parifh.

XVI. And be it further enacted, That from and after the paffing of this Act, when and fo often as any Petty Officer or Seaman, Noncommiffioned Officer of Marines or Marine, ferving on board any Ship or Veffel in the Service of His Majefty, his Heirs or Succeffors, fhall be promoted by any Commander in Chief, while fuch Ship or Veffel fhall be abroad, to be either a Lieutenant, Sub-Lieutenant, Mafter, Second Mater, Surgeon, Affiftant Surgeon, Boatswain, Gunner, Carpenter, Purfer, or a Commiffioned Officer of Marines, then and in either of fuch Events, the Captain or Commanding Officer of the Ship or Veffel in which the Petty Officer or Seaman, or Non-commiffioned Officer of Marines or Marine fhall be ferving at the Time of fuch Promotion, fhall at the fame Time make out or caufe to be made out, a Ticket for the Wages or Pay due to fuch Petty Officer or Seaman, Non-commiffioned Officer of Marines or Marine, certifying thereon that the Perfon therein named has been actually promoted to

the Station therein mentioned, and deliver fuch Ticket to him, which Ticket fhall be called " a Promotion Ticket," and fhall be made out in the fame Form, and confift of the fame Particulars as are prefcribed by the faid laft-mentioned Act. paffed in the Thirty-second Year of the Reign of His prefent Majetty, in regard to Foreign remove Tickets, and fhall be paid in the fame Manner as the faid Foreign remove Tickets are therein required to be paid; and it fhall be lawful to and for every Petty Officer or Seaman, Non-commiffioned Officer of Marines or Marine, who fhail obtain fuch Promotion Ticket, to fell and transfer the fame by Indorsement thereof; and the faid Promotion Tickets fo fold and transferred, shall be paid to the Indorsee thereof, in the Manner prefcribed for the Payment of the faid Foreign remove Tickets, in and by the faid latt-mentioned Act, paffed in the Thirty-fecond Year of the Reign of His prefent Majefty; and the Signature for Receipt of the Perfon to whom fuch Promotion Ticket fhall have been made payable by Indorfement, fhall be a fufficient Voucher to the Treasurer of the Navy, for the Payment of the Wages due on fuch Promotion Ticket.

XVII. And whereas the Regulations in the before-recited A&ts paffed in the Twenty-fixth and Thirty-fecond Years of the Reign of His prefent Majefty, refpecting the Tranfmiffion to the Treasurer of the Navy, of all Letters of Adminiftration, Probates of Wills, or • Letters of Adminiftration with Will annexed, of or to any Petty • Officer or Seaman, Non-commiffioned Officer of Marines or Marine, ⚫ have not been found effectual;' Be it further enacted, That from and after the paffing of this Act, if any Proctor, Regiftrar, or other Officer of any Ecclefiaftical Court, fhall deliver or caufe to be delivered any Letters of Adminiftration, Probate of Will, or Letters of Adminiftration with Will annexed, to any other Pe fon or Perfons than the Treasurer or Pavmafter of His Majesty's Navy, in the Manner directed by the faid Two laft mentioned Acts, fuch Proctor, Registrar or other Officer of fuch Ecclefiaftical Court fo offending, fhall for every fuch Offence forfeit the Sum of One hundred Pounds, to the Ufe of the Royal Hofpital for Seamen at Greenwich; and if any Agent or Agents fhall pay any Prze-Money due to a deceased Petty Officer or Seaman, Non-commiffioned Officer of Marines or Marine, under any other Authority whatever than the Check directed by the faid Acts to be iffued by the said Infpector or Perfon authorized to officiate for him, fuch Payment fhall be null and void; and the Agent or Agents, fo paying the fame, fhall forfeit for every and each fuch Offence, a Sum of Money equal to the Amount of the Prize Money fo paid by him or them, to the Ufe of the faid Royal Hospital for Seamen at Greenwich.

XVIII. And be it further enacted, That all Penalties and For. Recovery of feitures by this A&t impofed, fhall be recovered with full Cofts of Suit Penalties. by Action of Debt, Bill, Plaint, or Information, in any of His Majesty's Courts of Record in Great Britain, and be fued for in the Names of the Commiffioners and Governors of the Royal Hofpital at Greenwich.

II. And be it further enacted, That fo much of a certain other Parts of certain A& paffed in the Twenty-feventh Year of King Edward the Third, Statutes intituled, The Aulnegers Fees for every Cloth fold, Cloths fhall be fealed repealed, viz. before they be put to Sale, a Subfidy granted to the King of every Cloth fold, 27 E. 3. ft. 1. as directs that Cloths fhall be fealed before they be put to Sale: And fo much of a certain other A&t made in the Fourth Year of King 4 E. 4. c. 1. Edward the Fourth, intituled, The Length and Breadth of Cloths made to be fold, no Cloths wrought beyond Sea fhall be brought into England, as directs that every whole Woollen Cloth, called Broad Cloth, and

all Manner of Cloths called Streits, and every Cloth called Kerfey, which fhall refpectively be made and fet to Sale fhall be of certain fpecified Lengths and Breadths refpectively, with a certain Provifion in a Cafe where the Cloth fhall exceed the limited Measure, and that Every Half Cloth of every of the faid Whole Cloths, Streits and Kerfeys, fhall keep his Meafure in Length and Breadth, according to the Rate, Form, and Nature, of his Whole Cloth aforefaid; and that no Perfon which fhall make any Woollen Cloth to fell, fhall mingle or put in or upon the fame Cloth, nor the Wool whereof the faid Cloth fhall be made, any Lambs' Wool, Flock or Cork in any Manner, under the Penalty therein mentioned, except in particular Cafe's; and that every of the faid Cloths and Half Cloths fhall perfectly and rightly purfue and follow one Order of Workmanship from one End to the other, without Difference in the weaving, fulling, knotting, or burling; and that certain Seals fhall be ufed and fet upon the faid Cloths for the Purpofe of denoting the Workmanship, Length, Breadth, comparative Size and other diftinguishing Qualities for the feveral Sorts of Cloth, and that Keepers of the faid Seals fhall be appointed and fhall perform certain Duties, and fuch Keepers and Aulnegers fhall be fubject to Penalties for Offences therein mentioned; and that Cloth-makers fhall pay to Labourers in the faid Trade lawful Money for their Wages, and fhall deliver Wools to be wrought according to the faithful Delivery and due Weight thereof, under the Penaltes therein mentioned; and that every Carder, Spintter, Weaver, Fuller, Sheerman and Dyer, fhall duly perform his Duty in his Occupation; and that every Fuller, in his Craft and Occupation of Fulling, rowing, or tayfelling, of Cloth, fhall exercise and ufe Tayfells and no Cards deceitfully imparing the fame Cloth; and the Juftices of Peace and certain other Magiftrates shall have Power to hear and determine certain Complaints of every fuch Clothmaker and Labourer, and fhall exercise their Jurifdi&tion in that Behalf in the Manner therein specified, and that fuch Justices or Magiftrates fhall have Jurifdiction over Perfons offending against that Ordinance, and that fuch Perfons shall be subject to a Forfeiture, and that fuch Juftices or Magiftrates fhall have certain Powers for exercising their Jurifdiction in that Behalf: And fo much of a certain other A&t made 5 Eliz. c. 4. § 2. in the Fifth Year of Queen Elizabeth, intituled, An Aa containing

divers Orders for Artificers, Labourers, Servants of Hufbandry, and Apprentices, as directs, that no Perfon fhall be detained, hired, or taken into Service to work for any lefs Time than for One whole Year in any of the Sciences, Crafts, Mysteries, or Arts of Clothiers, Woollen Cloth Weavers, Tuckers, Fullers, Clothworkers, Sheermen, or Dyers of Wool or Woollen Cloth; and that every Perfon being unmarried, and every other Perfon being under the Age of Thirty Years, and having been brought up in any of the faid Arts, Crafts, or Sciences, or that hath used or exercised any of them by the Space of Three Years or more, and not having Real or Perfonal Property of a certain fpecified Value, nor being retained with any Perfon in Husbandry, or in any of the Arts and Sciences according to that Statute, nor in any other Art or Science, nor in Household, or in any Office with any Nobleman, Gentleman, or others, according to the Laws of this Realm, nor having a convenient Farm or other Holding in Tillage whereupon he may employ his Labour, fhall upon Requeft made by any Perfon ufing the Art or Mystery wherein the faid Perfon fo
