This book is certainly very useful as a guide to discipline and overall understanding of the young child. It is certainly written for a more educated audience especially those who are interested in improving themselves and their teaching and parenting methods.
Definately a "must have" when you find yourself asking the age old question, "now why on earth would this child do such a thing?"

I've been using this book with my studies and I am finding the authors ideas very muddled. The author tends to go off topic often, which becomes confusing when you are trying to learn a certain thing under a certain heading for an exam. This book could have been written so that it evokes interest in the reader however instead of doing that it has been written so that it is very hard to understand with too many ideas expressed at once and it doesn't leave you with an answer. Theis subject is interesting. But the author makes it very difficult to read even a page of this book without it you wanting to go have a nap.
