The Berry Basket: Three African Tales

Front Cover
Kwela Books, 1999 - Juvenile Fiction - 48 pages
A collection of African folklore with interesting artwork. These traditional Tsonga folktales are retold in English by Dinah M Mbanze. The tales, first encountered by Mbanze at her grandmother's knee, have an unusual charm, and the ironical undertone makes them suitable for adults and children alike. Like folktales the world over, they have universal appeal, but they will fill a special place in the hearts of those who love Africa.
