Continental Drift: Black/Blak Art from South Africa and North Australia

This publication supports an exhibition of the same name held at the Cairns Art Gallery from 6 July to 23 September 2018. The exhibition, curated by the Cairns Art Gallery highlights the shared experiences of colonisation through contemporary black/Blak artist from south Africa and north Australia.The Australian artists represented in the exhibition and publication are Tony Albert, Paul Bong, Hannah Bronte, Michael Cook, Fiona Foley, Gordon Hookey, Dale Harding and Archie Moore. They are joined by South African artists - Kudzanai Chiurai, Mohau Modisakeng, Zanele Muholi, Athi-Patra Ruga, Berni Searle, Mary Sibande and Buhlebezwe Siwani.
