Shalom (Seymour) Freedman is a Jewish writer who has worked for many years in Israel. The recipient of a Ph.D. in English and American Literature from Cornell University, he has contributed to the Encyclopedia of Judaism, the Zionist Press Service, the Jerusalem Post, local Jerusalem newspapers, and a variety of other publications. Rabbi Irving (Yitz) Greenberg is the president of Jewish Life Network/Steinhardt Foundation, whose mission is to create new institutions and initiatives to enrich the religious, cultural, and institutional life of American Jewry.
